Who You Are:
The Ideal candidate will have 2+ years relevant experience operating CNC equipment. Glass industry experience preferred.
What You Will Be Doing:
As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating a CMS Machine to fabricate glass, as well as perform preventative maintenance on the machine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
Operate CNC equipment (CMS machine) to fabricate glass to the specification ordered by the customer.
Create programs in CNC as needed to perform required fabrication.
Programs CNC equipment by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.
Sets up CNC equipment by installing and adjusting tools and attachments; verifies settings by measuring positions.
Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Straps glass to the carts and or trucks so they are safe for moving
Moves glass from tables, furnace, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates for eight or more hours, daily.
Daily inspections - Look for any unsafe objects, check equipment, etc.
Skills You Bring:
MINIMUM SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS include the following:
Previous CNC experience required.
CNC programming knowledge is preferred.
CAD experience is preferred.
The ability to accurately read a tape measure.
The ability to stand for long periods of time.
The ability to communicate, and to work as part of a team.
The ability to work in high heat manufacturing facility.
Working knowledge of plant operations, computers, hoists, and lifts preferred.
Glass industry experience is a plus.

Ability to read and understand shop drawings and specifications.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. A precision machining and fabrication company is seeking a versatile CNC Machinist with experience on both CNC lathes and milling machines. This role supports production machining for a variety of custom components in a job-shop setting.
Responsibilities
• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC lathes and mills
• Load raw materials, set tooling offsets, and verify machine readiness
• Read and interpret blueprints, machining drawings, and work instructions
• Make basic program edits and adjustments to improve accuracy
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and precision measurement tools
• Maintain part quality and ensure all components meet specifications
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical or tooling issues
• Record production data and maintain an organized work area
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
• Follow established shop safety procedures
Qualifications

Job Purpose
To machine high-quality parts using precision equipment, which include using programming instructions for the part being manufactured. Tool & Die Machinist (2nd Shift)

Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Machinist to support our production operations by performing routine and complex maintenance on stamping dies. The ideal candidate will be experienced in inspecting, repairing, sharpening, cleaning, and modifying progressive and/or transfer stamping dies to ensure optimal performance, part quality, and die longevity.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect and assess stamping dies for wear, damage, or malfunction.
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble dies using hand and power tools.
Sharpen cutting and forming components using surface grinders and other precision machining equipment.
Repair or replace worn or damaged die components (e.g., punches, dies, springs, guide pins).
Troubleshoot die performance issues during production and recommend/implement corrective actions.
Perform preventative maintenance on dies based on schedule or usage.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation.
Operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, grinders) and potentially CNC equipment for die modification or component fabrication.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize die performance.
Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or apprenticeship in Tool & Die preferred.
3+ years of experience in tool and die maintenance, preferably in a stamping environment.
Strong understanding of progressive and/or transfer die construction and function.
Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges).
Skilled in surface grinding, polishing, and manual machining operations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and die specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD/CAM or CNC programming is a plus.
Familiarity with die sensors and in-die protection systems.
Basic welding or brazing skills.
