Summary
Receives direction from the Maintenance Supervisor. Essential Job Functions
Receive, review, and interpret Work Orders and tooling requirements for set-up.
Work under the guidance of a Machinist III.
Fabricate tooling, fixtures, jigs, and models to support manufacturing operations.
Operate conventional equipment such as lathes, Bridgeport-type horizontal mills, surface grinders, band saws, pedestal grinders, and related support equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Read and interpret blueprints, including understanding geometric tolerances.
Complete all required documentation, including Work Orders.

About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced CNC Horizontal Machinist to support our aerospace manufacturing operations in Placentia, CA. This position plays a key role in the production of precision components that support the assembly of high-performance aerospace latches delivered to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate 3- to 4-axis horizontal CNC systems (linear and/or rotary) in a production environment.
Review dispatch lists and work orders to prioritize daily production schedules.
Interpret blueprints, dimensional data sheets, and planning documents to ensure components meet engineering specifications.
Perform tooling setup, offset adjustments, and minor edits to CNC programs as needed.
Conduct in-process inspections and verify part accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, lubrication, and safety checks.
Work independently under limited supervision to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
3-6 years of hands-on machine shop experience operating CNC systems.
Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and follow detailed work instructions.
Programming knowledge preferred, but not required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Manufacturing floor setting exposed to heat, noise, dust, and fumes.
Requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand and foot control.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and maintain steady hand-eye coordination with fine motor dexterity.
