RESPONSIBILITES
Sets up and operates horizontal multi axis lathes to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing and/or threading of parts.
Review blueprints, job breakdown sheets and QC documents of part to determine the machine settings, specifications, fixtures, and tools necessary to produce the part.

**This role in summary**
This position maintains, troubleshoots and repairs dies, die components, and tooling used in the production process. Manual and CNC equipment and tool room machinery is used regularly. Tool Makers often work in production areas outside of the Tool Room to troubleshoot dies and tooling in presses. • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must perform metric conversions.
• Requires good oral and written communication skills in order to interact with employees.

• Possess a good mechanical aptitude and/or prior machinist experience a plus

Machining hydraulic cylinder shafts and components 30-120" long average, holding .001" tolerances, General machining of piece parts, short runs. Using prints or sketches, reverse engineer replacement parts. Basic understating of Hydraulic cylinders required.
You will be required to accurately measure parts using Micrometers, Calipers, Dial indicators.
