Responsibilities
Set Up and operates CNC lathes and/or Milling machines and related equipment where programs, fixtures, and methods have been developed.
Work with our Engineers and Programmers to make all edits and adjustments as required to produce parts to work orders/blueprint specifications/sketches.
The ability to operate more than one machine in a cellular environment is required.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of feeds and speeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their application.
Inspects work for all dimensional features as required.
Produces quality and quantity of work in accordance with Company requirements.
Responsible for accurately completing paperwork relating to counts, scrap, time, etc. According to Company policy.
Performs duties always exercising good machining practices.
Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat, safe, orderly condition including operator maintenance sheets.
Maintains coolant tanks and fills as necessary.
Trains, guides, and assists other employees as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency certified required.
3-5 years or more of Machining background and/or experience in a machine shop.

Compensation:

The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operation of CNC machining centers in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The technician may be asked to support other processes or production lines as demand and production schedules dictate.
2nd Shift - Mon - Fri, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong, internal working relationships across restor3d.
Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Production department and works towards those goals.
Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions.
Operation and light maintenance of CNC machining centers and associated tooling.
Hand deburring of metal medical implants after machining.
Perform in-process inspection of CNC machined parts.
Perform timely and accurate transactions of workflow in ERP system.
Maintain CNC machine spare parts and consumable tooling.
Assist in the investigation and implementation of corrective actions on product and process failures.
Comply with all company policies and procedures including safety regulations, personal protective equipment requirements, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and Good Manufacturing Procedures.
Interface with vendors to seek solutions for equipment repairs and refurbishment.
Responsible for upkeep of manufacturing areas and provide a clean and safe work environment.
Review all manufacturing documentation, assembly, inspection, test, packaging procedures and provide feedback.
Support engineering activities such as process validations and equipment qualifications.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical education preferred.
1-5 years of experience in a medical device and/or regulated environment.
Demonstrated English reading and writing skills.
Familiarity with ISO Standards and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Familiarity with Oracle (or equivalent) ERP systems and Microsoft Office Applications.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. Comfortable with change.
Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

Job Purpose
As a CNC Machinist at VulcanForms, you will operate CNC Lathe and/or Mill Machines to support manufacturing based on skillset and shop demand. VulcanForms Inc. operates in an environmentally controlled, state-of-the-art facility committed to producing quality parts for our clients. We manufacture products for several industries, including aerospace, military and defense, satellite, and medical devices. Please note that the CNC Machinist position is shift-based and this is during our 2nd shift.
Key Responsibilities
* Ability to operate a CNC lathe (including work holding, kitting of tools, touching off of tools/establishing offsets, reading of manufacturing drawings, and first article buy-off) on FANUC, Yasnac, Mitsubishi, and controls.
* Ability to operate a CNC 3, 4 or 5-axis Mill (including work holding, kitting of tools, touching off of tools/establishing offsets, reading manufacturing drawings, and first article buy-off) on Fanuc, Yasnac, Brother, and Heidenhain controls
* Experience with utilizing a pre-setter offline for tool offsets is a plus.
* Experience with quick-change tooling is a plus.
* Operate, set up, and edit programs on the machines within the department.
* In addition to running machines, the Machinist will periodically inspect parts during production to monitor for consistent dimensional and visual quality.
* Responsible for continuously monitoring equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process.
* Follow the instructions on the Process sheet, Drawings, and/or Programs.
* Support training of more junior team members on all aspects of machining.
* Helps others identify issues and troubleshoot their work.
* Interface/communicate with Quality, Engineering, and other team members.
* Maintains the work area and equipment clean and orderly and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience with 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC Milling Centers, 2-axis and multi axis, live tooling lathes, experience with the controls listed in the Key Accountabilities section above.
* Ability to read Blueprints and have a good understanding of GD&T
* Ability to work in a team environment
* Adhere to and enforce the company's health & safety policies and procedures

* Good hand/eye coordination
Preferred
* Graduate of Advanced Machine Technology Course.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
