Position Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and adjust numerically controlled milling machines, utilizing various control media, program documents, holding fixtures, and cutting tools, or manually entering required data to meet quality requirements
Obtain information from drawings, documents, sketches, and verbal instructions to prepare for machining operations
Make necessary preparations and adjustments to ready the machine for operation, including installing various cutting tools during machining cycles as authorized
Use measuring instruments and gauges to check cutting tools and parts for conformance to specifications and prints
Assist planners or programmers in determining the final numerical control program as authorized
Mount and check cutting tools in holders, ensuring proper loading in machine magazines or spindles
Initiate requests for corrective action in the event of machine malfunctions and detect faulty tools, taking corrective action in accordance with shop practices
Load, preload, and manually position fixtures at designated program stops
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

Work Hours: Monday - Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm, 40 hours per week required, with opportunity for overtime based on business need.
What You Will Do:
Machine precision parts in a fast-paced production environment
Occasional R&D utilizing variety of machine tools
Operate CNC Mill, machining hollow metal profiles to customers spec.
Inspect own work and others using precision tools, digital calipers, metric measuring tape
Maintain equipment and perform set up of machines; operate CNC machining & cutting equipment
Assist in the design of tooling and fixtures and collaborate with programming team
Perform quality check on all machined parts per engineering procedure drawings
Adhere to company safety policies
Work in other departments as required
Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Succeed:
7+ years' total experience in manufacturing environment with at least 5+ years CNC machinist experience, preferably with 3 and 5 axis machines, including ability to program, setup and operate machine tools; CNC milling machine, CNC cutting, as well as conventional machines
HAAS CNC milling machine experience preferred
Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology, 2-year degree in Machine Technology or equivalent training is preferred
Knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, G-code
Experience developing tools and fixtures
Ability to work unsupervised
Knowledge of machining high tolerance parts
Ability to read and interpret procedure drawings & blueprints
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong math skills, analytical, and customer service skills.
Experience manufacturing to ISO 9000 standards preferred
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly in an environment where heavy work is required and where moderate to loud noise occurs. The employee is in an assembly plant/warehouse environment that can be dusty. May be working around welding operations. Overhead work may be required. There is a frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, twist, bend, lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and occasionally lift and move very heavy objects (up to 100 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the workday. Production aids such as overhead cranes and forklifts can be used for these tasks. Personal protective equipment will be required and provided. In addition, the individual in this job will be working under time pressure and must be able to perform under stress. They must be able to work rapidly for long periods and to communicate and interact with others. They also must be able to perform multiple concurrent tasks, read and comprehend the material they read. The employee must be able to write, and problem solve.40+ hours per week will typically be necessary to accomplish performance objectives and to provide satisfactory job presence and/or responsiveness

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experiences.
The expected Base Hourly Range: $26.44 - $33.85. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
