Key Responsibilities
Can safely operate a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe performing complex operations in producing prototype parts, production parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies, and/or fabricating parts from steels, stainless steels, aluminum, plastics and other non-metals.
Supports in-house customers, such as manufacturing, engineering, business units, direct/indirect materials, and facilities. Portrays a customer service approach. Interfaces effectively and courteously with customers.
Utilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine machining process, procedures, tooling and fixtures requirements.
Performs a variety of machining and/or assembly tasks utilizing standard machine shop equipment, such as surface grinders, drill presses, grinders, sanders, band saws, rotary table, and/or standard band and power tools.
Plans and performs complex machine set-ups. Possesses a good working knowledge of trigonometry, which is required to accurately calculate angles used in set-ups and machining. Makes full use of machine capacity to minimize amount of machining or number of set-ups required to product parts competitively.
Performs machining operations, such as milling, turning, facing, boring, chasing single and multiple external and internal threads, drilling, grooving, reaming and chamfering. Monitor machines and verify that part dimensions conform to specifications.
Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools. Performs rework as necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements.

**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Set up CNC machines by loading tools, fixtures, and materials according to job specifications
+ Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to understand machining requirements
+ Operate CNC machines to perform milling, turning, drilling, or grinding operations
+ Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations and make necessary adjustments

**Basic Qualifications** **(Required Skills/Experience):**
+ 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications
+ 1+ years of experience with CNC machining in a production environment
+ Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
+ Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
+ Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting
**Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):**
+ 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC operation
+ 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
+ 3+ years of experience using basic math (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)

The ideal candidate is comfortable working on the shop floor, following established CNC programs, setting up fixtures and tooling, and ensuring parts are produced safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Operate 5-axis CNC routers in a production environment
Set up machines according to setup sheets, fixtures, and work instructions
Load and unload parts, fixtures, and tooling
Verify correct tools, offsets, and work holding prior to running programs
Monitor machining operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION DUTIES:
Welder/Mechanic/Machinist primary duty is maintaining Marion walking draglines and will assist in mobile equipment, and coal processing facilities repair. Must be able to perform welding duties all mine equipment including coal haulers and track type earthmovers. This person must be able to work at heights (i.e. elevated boom point and tri-structure of draglines). Mechanical experience will include working on heavy, open and enclosed gear systems for draglines (i.e. repair and overhaul). Machinist/Millwright experience and the ability to troubleshoot lubrication systems would be desirable assets. Licensed mobile crane experience is desirable. This position requires working multiple shifts and call-out on a 24-hour basis. Work is completed in varying extremes of environmental conditions with exposure to dust, noise, and adverse weather.

Key Responsibilities
Can safely operate a CNC Mill or CNC Lathe performing basic operations in producing prototype parts, production parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies, and/or fabricating parts from steels, stainless steels, aluminum, plastics and other non-metals.

Performs machining operations, such as milling, turning, facing, boring, chasing single and multiple external and internal threads, drilling, grooving, reaming and chamfering. Monitor machines and verify that part dimensions conform to specifications.
Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications. Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools. Performs rework as necessary.
Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
Other Requirements: This is a very physically demanding position that often requires standing for extended periods of time, walking, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, the use of hand and power tools, and driving or operating heavy machinery including forklifts.
