Fit and assemble parts into a complete assembly that typically requires more complex testing and tolerance
Communicate with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems
Apply continuous improvement in work areas by identifying and recommending solutions to problems
Ensure compliance with operating policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment and efficient operations
Aid and train other staff in the department on processes, procedures, and machine understanding

Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Tool Maker - III to join our team. The successful candidate must have at least 6 years of experience as a tool and die maker and have experience with semi-permanent dies, layout work, and knowledge of short run stamping through progressive dies.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, design, construct, or repair a wide variety of highly intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures to extremely close tolerances.
• Perform difficult development work and construct tools where no design is available.
• Select allowances and device mechanism details.
• Perform highly skilled fitting, adjusting, and timing of tools and machinery.
• Perform work involving multi-station progressive dies, intricate compound dies of irregular shape, subpress dies for parts of delicate outline, and complex index milling fixtures.
• Perform any tool room machine operation, including CAD/KEY, CNC lathe, and other technologies required for toolroom operations.
• Work from complicated drawings and sketches.

Associates Degree in machining or equivalent combination of education and experience
