A Day in Your Life at MKS: As an R&D Machinist (Machinist 4+) at MKS Inc. you will join the Engineering Services team to support our Engineering and Operations teams. MKS develops solutions to leading edge semiconductor manufacturing, electronics and packaging, and specialty industrial applications. Order materials and tooling required as needed. * Performs a variety of complex machining operations and/or assembly tasks utilizing all standard machine shop equipment, such as, Haas 3 axis CNC, Bridgeport milling machine, engine lathe, drill presses, band saws, and power tools producing prototype parts, occasional production parts, modifications, repairs and failure analysis. * Performs machine operations, such as milling, turning, facing, boring, drilling, grooving, reaming and chamfering. Verify that part dimensions conform to specifications and tolerances if required to +/- .0002. * Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operation of CNC machining centers in a high-volume manufacturing environment. The technician may be asked to support other processes or production lines as demand and production schedules dictate. 2 nd Shift - Mon - Fri, 3:00pm - 11:30pm Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and maintain strong, internal working relationships across ConforMIS. Understand the objectives, responsibilities, and mission of the Production department and works towards those goals. Prioritize and plan work activities; adapt for changing conditions. Acuren is seeking a Machinist to work dayshift for operations in West Boylston, MA. Acuren requires a Machinist with machine shop experience, a mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely and effectively operate both manual and CNC machinery. Machinery includes a surface grinder, manual and CNC lathes, CNC milling machine and band and abrasive saws. The individual must be able to work as part of a team, and support the mechanical testing department. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of machined parts. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including troubleshooting issues as they arise. Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming using software such as Mastercam and CAM programming tools. Conduct quality control checks throughout the machining process to maintain product standards. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
