Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathes according to specifications and production schedules. Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of machined parts. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment, including troubleshooting issues as they arise. Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming using software such as Mastercam and CAM programming tools. Conduct quality control checks throughout the machining process to maintain product standards. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment. Assist in the assembly of components when required, ensuring all parts meet specifications. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety regulations. Requirements Experience Proven experience as a CNC operator or similar role within a manufacturing facility. Familiarity with multi spindle, multi axis machines (Mazak, Puma, Miyano), programmable logic controllers, and various CNC machinery including milling machines and press brakes. Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles is preferred. Experience with fabrication processes, welding, stamping presses, and assembly lines is advantageous. Proficiency in CAD software for blueprint reading and design modifications. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks. May be required to meet certain certificates in the field and preferred to have at least 5-10 years of programming tooling and setup experience. Previous factory or warehouse experience is a plus.
