Job Description
Insight Global is looking for an inside machinist at the journeyman or specialized level that can, not only operate CNC and manual Lathes and Mill machines but can set up the machine from start to finish. After a 3-week training period and safety courses, the inside machinist will be assigned to a specific machine (Manual Lathes, Manual Mill, CNC Lathes or CNC Mill) and will be giving a specific project. The project could last a few hours or a few weeks depending on what item they are assigned to. They could be working with material that is 2 feet long or 10 feet long. Most of the material they will be working with will be stainless steel with a little bit of aluminum and copper. Onsite there will be a CNC programmer so the inside machinist will need to have knowledge of G&M codes but does not need to have the programming knowledge. Once they finish one project, they will move on to the next project.

Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance
HOURS:
First shift starts at 6AM. May work 8,10 or 12 hours shifts determined by the project.

Operates press brake and shear to cut and bend sheet metal panels for the enclosure department.
Prepares, sets up, and adjusts the press brake as required before cutting and bending.
Work closely with the Tank supervisor for measurement needed to be cut or bend.
Help execute the Daily Operations of cutting and bending steel for the department.
Detect and report faulty operation, defective material, and other unusual conditions to the Tank Supervisor and the Maintenance Supervisor.
Be able to be trained in the setup and running of the press brake and shear.
Understand the various types of steel tubes, sheets, and gauges.
Must lift 50 pounds with no current or previous back problems
Be able to organize cut and steel panels accordingly once trained
Maintain workplace in neat and orderly conditions.
Exposed to hazard/risk that requires body protection (gloves, pants, steel toes, sleeves, hardhats, safety glasses).
Measure, examine, and ensure accurate materials measurement using a tape measure.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
Have a clean work history and be able to pass a physical/drug screen.
Be able to read a tape measure and pass a tape test.
Experience with operating press brakes and shear
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to work with urgency while maintaining accuracy and order
Good organizational skills
Experience with driving forklifts preferred
