This statement of work is in shop, on the factory floor or on the flight line; covering the entire North Charleston factory site. Position Responsibilities: Perform fabrication and/or assembly processes on the airplane to build and assemble wire bundles, electrical shelves or panels as required. Determine set-up and the materials, parts, standards, and tools required for job by reviewing information from multiple sources (e.g., ECAT (Electrical Corrective Action Team), ERU (Electrical Response Unit), Electrical Connector Assembly Diagram (ECAD) or Engineering drawing as required. This hybrid role involves operating 5-axis CNC machines and routers to produce complex, high-precision parts. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on operation skills, with a thorough understanding of machining processes, toolpath optimization, and quality control standards. Key Responsibilities: Set up, operate, and monitor 5-axis CNC routers (e.g., Thermwood, Haas, Multicam) and milling machines. Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD files (e.g., STEP, IGES, SolidWorks). Load and unload materials, set tools, and ensure correct machine parameters. Optimize toolpaths and machining strategies for quality, efficiency, and tool longevity. Perform machine simulation and program verification prior to production.
