Applicants hired into this position shall generally be able to operate most equipment with minimal training based on prior experience, including CNC operated equipment. Ability to utilize various measuring tools including Optical comparator, and mechanical tools such as micrometers etc. Identifies issues or out-of-tolerance conditions; adjusts offsets of machine to correct errors or maintain tolerances as needed. Deburrs and cleans parts as needed. Inspects and measures completed production units to identify defects caused by machine setup and fills out required paperwork. Starts or restarts equipment after power outages or interruptions. Maintains a safe and orderly production area. Performs other related duties as assigned. Competencies and Skills: Candidates applying should possess the following requirements and demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of the position: High school diploma or equivalent required Certificate in Machine Tool or related Trade preferred but not required. At least one year of experience is preferred Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs, drawings, and documentation Working knowledge of geometric tolerances and how they are applied Working knowledge of Fanuc and Yasnac controls preferred Ability to quickly learn, production equipment Ability to keep a clean and organized work area Physical Requirements: Physical ability to operate machines Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
