Responsible for writing, creating, and testing CNC programs. Performs adjustments to adhere to established specifications or revisions. Having earned a CFC certification is also a plus. **WORKING CONDITIONS:** The Machinist/Millwright will work primarily in a manufacturing environment on a rotating shift schedule (12 hour shift, four on and four off). Manufacturing areas are not climate controlled. During summer months, building exhaust fans provide ventilation. Chemicals handled include acids and bases, organic solvents, and inorganic compounds. Chemicals may have characteristic odors or hazardous properties that require special handling. Office and manufacturing environments may require use of personal protective equipment such as a hard hat, safety glasses, and work boots. What R & D Model Shop Machinist contributes to Cardinal Health Research and Development Model Shop Machinist is responsible for designing and developing prototype tooling for new products including building plastic injection molds and product test fixtures. Responsibilities * Applies working knowledge of machine shop and injection molding techniques to build and develop prototype tooling * Support projects for multiple departments in the R&D function * Provide effective and timely job scheduling information to extended team members within the R&D function.
