Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Tool and Die Maker (Manual Machinist) to join our SAMC team in San Antonio, TX.
Fabricate, repair, and maintain various tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to create precise tooling components
Operate manual machining equipment, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders
Utilize measuring instruments, both in the shop and out on the aircraft, to ensure accuracy and quality of work
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop innovative solutions for tooling needs
Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Assist with aircraft structures III work, including assembly, installation, and repair tasks as needed
Fabrication of aircraft parts
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience as a Machinist or Tool Maker
5+ years of experience operating manual mill and manual lathe machines
5+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
5+ years of experience working with precision measuring tools
Ability to work variable shifts (i.e. scheduled and unscheduled overtime; weekends and holidays) to support mission requirements and workload
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in aircraft heavy maintenance (Depot Level)
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Job Summary
Are you a skilled CNC Machinist who thrives on challenging setups and tight tolerances? This role goes beyond button-pushing - we need someone confident in setting up, dialing in, and producing complex, one-off, and low-volume parts with high precision.
Responsibilities
Must be a subject matter expert in the following functions/activities (perform correctly and without assistance):
Able to Run Manual and CNC Machines at an expert Level.
Perform full setups on CNC mills and/or lathes from print or model - including indicating vises, fixtures, and part zeros.
Interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and 3D models to execute machining strategies.
Adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and offsets to optimize quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues related to tooling, setup, and part accuracy independently.
Ensure in-process inspection and first article inspection compliance.
Collaborate with engineers and programmers to refine setups and improve processes.
What You Bring:
5+ years of CNC machining experience, with a strong emphasis on complex setups and first-run parts.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, GD&T, and setup sheets.
Strong understanding of machine offsets, tool presetting, and basic G/M code.
Experience with multi-axis machining or live tooling.
Strong understanding of machining processes and techniques.
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
Familiar with the use of precision measuring instruments like micrometers and calipers.
Solid understanding of lean manufacturing
At least 5 years of relevant experience in machining manufacturing.

Identify, produce, and gauge a variety of threads.

Requirements

Skilled in making N/C program changes.
Ability to interpret blueprints, drawing, specifications and determine dimensions and tolerances.
Completion of a background check and drug screen

Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation & Fabrication
Set up and operate CNC and manual sheet-metal shearing equipment to cut material to required
