Dr. Scott Koenig has been President and Chief Executive Officer of MacroGenics since September 2001. Prior to joining MacroGenics, he served as Senior Vice President of Research at MedImmune, Inc., where he participated in the selection and maturation of the company's product pipeline for 11 years. From 1984 to 1990, he worked in the Laboratory of Immunoregulation at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) at the National Institutes of Health, where he investigated the immune response to retroviruses and studied the pathogenesis of AIDS. Currently, he is Chairman of the Board of Directors at Applied Genetic Therapy Corporation, and serves as a Board member of MacroGenics, BIO, Children’s Research Institute of Children’s National Medical Center, the AERAS Clinical and Epidemiological Technical Advisory Board, and the Cornell University Council.

Over 25 years experience in finance, with significant portion of that time working for, or on behalf of, life sciences companies. Currently SVP, CFO and Corporate Secretary of MacroGenics (MGNX), a next-generation antibody therapeutics company in the immuno-oncology space. Was previously Executive Director of Finance at Jazz Pharmaceuticals (JAZZ), responsible for the company’s financial planning and analysis and investor relations activities. Before Jazz, was a Director in Global Healthcare Investment Banking Group at Merrill Lynch. Stanford MBA, University of Notre Dame BBA.

Experienced Chief Executive Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry. Skilled in Biomarkers, Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), Translational Medicine, Oncology, and Clinical Pharmacology. Strong business development professional with a Doctor of Medicine - MD focused in Medicine from University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Experienced executive with a demonstrated history of working in the biotechnology industry with a focus on therapeutic monoclonal antibodies and bispecific / multispecific antibody platforms. Skilled in drug discovery, drug development and translational research, experienced in managing matrix research organizations and a clinical background coupled with FDA regulatory experience.
