Performs maintenance on and cleans pieces of equipment.
Keep daily logs and records all pertinent information (any foreign material found, defects in equipment, shut downs, etc.)
Cutter Deck Operator will provide breaks to ADR Operator.
May be required to used 2 way radio.
Required to use a computer touch screen to monitor and control equipment.
Follow good housekeeping practices and GMP's.

Commit to one year minimum in the position from the date you are qualified for the first position and one year from any subsequent positions they are qualified for. The Process Utility Operator position is designed to have associates trained/qualified to fill in on shift and for overtime where absences create a need for coverage. When a Process Utility Operator employee is trained/qualified in more than one job that needs to be covered at the same time, the company will determine the priority as to which position to cover using the Process Utility Operator employee. Should a Process Utility Operator employee who is training, not be able to meet the job qualification standards for the positions required the process will be followed as set forth in the handbook section covering Training, Pulling a Bid, and Disqualification and training will be discontinued. Process Utility Operator will be included in the overtime rotation for the positions they are qualified for. If there is an absence that requires overtime from within that group of employees, the Process Utility Operator employee will be considered by seniority following the scheduling practices as if they were part of that workgroup. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.
Tote room:
Running of addback equipment (adding bulk product back to lines).
Must be able to work in cold conditions and work safely amid constant hyster traffic.
Must ensure correct bulk is blended to lines and must record pertinent information on addback activity sheets.
Must rake product out of totes into addback hopper, if necessary.
Must also help with overflow totes and waste totes (raking and/or changing).
Communicate needs to hyster drivers with elevated noise levels present.
Communicate with team leaders, leads, manifestor and other employees.
Tools and equipment used: product rakes, shovels, squeegees, white carts, waste carts, electric pallet jack, broom and dustpan.
Rework:
Rework (strip out) of cased product into totes for adding back to lines.
Correct marking of totes with pertinent information so as to be correctly manifested.
Filling out of rework log (record of product reworked).
Handling of re-case activities, case damage, bag rework, and cleanup when necessary.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Must be available to break other packaging laborer positions.
Cleanup of packaging area: sweeping, shoveling, general sanitation.
Handling of case damage (case and bag rework).
Handling product accumulated in packaging carts.
Stripout of bags in overflow and waste totes or on addback inspection shakers.

Conducts proper checks per procedure and by request of Production Lead, Team Leader Production, Team Leader Quality, Team Leader Area Production, and Line Structure Team.
Owns daily sanitation of the line, including line break sanitation processes, general housekeeping and maintaining a food safe work environment.
Performs End of Cycle Sanitation activities for both processing and packaging.
Utilizes root cause analysis using IPS and UPS tools and participates in these events on their line.
Engages in scheduled pillar activities to help drive out our top losses and drive to meet the goals set out in our site.
Conducts Peer to Peer handoff with top losses and unresolved issues that will affect area to ensure success of the line both on and off shift.
