Pros of working at Madico

Pay. Because Madico Woburn was a union shop, hourly rates were better than average.

Cons of working at Madico

Management was all brought in from outside, and they treated existing employees like old furniture. Bob Connelly thought he was the smartest person in the world (spoiler, he was not too bright), and brought in a long line of overpaid outside managers, always looking for a silver bullet. He relied on support from Lintec to line his and their pockets, all while completely failing to make Madico profitable on its own.

Madico benefits

Healthcare benefits were above average.

What do you like best about Madico's CEO and the leadership team?

See my cons comment. Connelly acted like your buddy, but he looked down on all existing employees, and pigeon-holed them into low priority roles.

How would you improve Madico's culture?

It's too late for that. Connelly fulfilled his long time goal of moving Madico to a low wage state. He always blamed external factors for his failures, never taking responsibility.

How did you prepare for the Madico interview?

If you wanted a top job, you would come from a successful manufacturer, then embellish your resume. Like Bill Kelleway.

How does your compensation at Madico compare to the industry average?

It was good until it plateaued. But nowhere near as good as what outsiders got when they came in.

What's the diversity at Madico like?

Management was entirely white males.

What brings you the most joy at Madico?

Learning from the LIntec people.
