Madison Regional Health System is seeking a part-time or full-time Registered Nurse to be a part of the Madison Regional Health System mission: Committed to providing quality healthcare, close to home.
Our Registered Nurse is an essential part of our Medical team and is responsible for caring for patients of various ages: infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. Excellent customer service, attention to detail, great telephone etiquette, computer knowledge, and the ability to multi-task in pressure/stressful situations are essential. South Dakota RN license and CPR certification is required.
The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. May be required to deal with unpleasant environmental situations resulting from patient care or patient activity. Exposure to infectious disease, body fluids, odors, and dust. Will be working with a variety of medical equipment including, but not limited to: defibrillator/cardioversion equipment, suction equipment, IV pumps, chest tubes, feeding pumps, and portable cardiac monitors.
RN positions at Madison Regional Health System are flexible! We offer 12-hour shifts and every 3rd weekend. As part of a team, we have a day, night, weekend, holiday, and call rotation to balance your home life. You will have a unique opportunity to build your skillset by working in various departments such as medical, surgical, and emergency room areas. Full and part-time positions are available.
Full-time positions come with Madison Regional Health System's benefits package and a competitive salary. MRHS offers retention pay to individuals who have worked at the facility for greater than one year. Madison Regional Health System employees receive a discount at the on-site cafeteria. Shift differential occurs 6pm-6am Monday-Friday, weekends, and holidays.
Registered Nurse earning potential ranges from $30-$46 with competency incentives. May be eligible for sign-on bonus or tuition assistance.

A Brief Overview

A Brief Overview

A Brief Overview
Under the direction of facility leadership this position is responsible for coordinating referrals, admissions, discharges and transfers to and from the facility. Serves as a core member of the interdisciplinary care team. Has the necessary authority to assess, plan, evaluate and teach in patient and staff situations. Responsible for the review and coordination of all referrals to the facility.
Responsible for performing pre-admission screens, pre-admission rounds and coordinates all new admissions. Assists in the development of the baseline care plan and attends weekly care plan meetings as needed.
Communicates and manages the delivery of resident care, ensures quality care is provided.
Manages provider visits (30-60-90 days) and routine lab orders. Accurately enters resident admission/registration information, assists with completion of any required forms, preparing charts, order entry, scheduling appointments and obtains/distributes resident education materials as directed.
Completes assessments on residents, makes appropriate interventions, applies knowledge, prioritizes resident care, uses nursing process (assess,plan, implement, evaluate).
