Exterior Duties:
Uses presoak, brushes, and pressure washer to wash the exterior of the motorcoach/vehicle.
Scrubs all wheels and tires, scrubs bugs off the front of the bus, and scrubs the back of the bus for oil.
Squeegees down all windows.
Use cleaning rags to wipe down exterior windows and mirror glass.
Interior Duties:
Clean inside of vehicle to include overhead luggage bins, seats, kick panels and footrests.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

This includes the completion and/or directing/delegating the completion of the activities component of the comprehensive assessment; and contributing to and/or directing/delegating the contribution to the comprehensive care plan goals and approaches that are individualized to match the skills, abilities, and interests/preferences of each resident in compliance with Federal and State regulations.
Directing the activity program includes scheduling of activities, both individual and groups, implementing and/or delegating the implementation of recreational, educational, cultural and arts and crafts programs, monitoring the response, reviewing and evaluating the response to the programs to determine if the activities meet the assessed needs of the resident, and making revisions as necessary. The Director ensures that scheduled program activities are carried out seven days per week. The Director will ensure each resident is offered at least one (1) cognitive activity, two (2) recreational activities and three (3) ADL activities daily. Activities are to be tailored to the resident's unique requirements and skills. At least one individual activity is planned for residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in group activities daily. Oversees the transportation of residents to social activities programs inside and outside the facility.
The Activities Director is responsible for the assurance of resident safety during activities and items that are safety hazards are strictly controlled. Harmful items will be monitored closely during resident use and put away immediately after each use. Activity cabinets and closets are locked at all times when not in immediate use.
The Activities Director is responsible for overseeing the establishment of a Resident Council and responsible for its smooth operation and documentation such as meeting minutes and concerns expressed during the Council meetings.
The Activities Director is required to perform a variety of administrative functions pertaining to departmental operations, such as but not limited to, assisting with the orientation of newly hired staff; development of departmental policies and procedures; delegation of work assignments of staff; completion of employee performance evaluations and the development of formal and informal staff educational in-service programs to ensure the highest level of quality care possible is provided to residents.

2. Performs all responsibilities/duties required by the Laboratory as defined in the scope of practice, to assure that the unique nature of the patient is addressed. This includes, but is not limited to the age of the patient served.
3. Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, finger stick, and heelstick) according to established procedure.
* Maintains competency and proficiency on all phlebotomy procedures with minimal discomfort to the patient, keeping up to date with policy, technical and procedural changes.
* Draws blood from patients (adults, children, and infants) finger, vein, or heel, observing the principles of asepsis to obtain blood samples.
* Completes assigned tasks accurately and timely, adhering to laboratory standards, policies, and procedures.
4. Identifies patients and properly labels specimen tubes.
* Identifies patient by verifying name and date of birth on patient armband.
* Labels all specimen tubes following established procedure: Name, Date of Birth, Date and time of draw and phlebotomist initials (or use of LIS generated label).
5. Determines priority of STAT draws. Ensures timely transport of all patient specimens to lab for testing.
* Prioritizes STAT requests. Draws STATs within 10 minutes of request.
* Draws severe trauma and/or disaster patients immediately.
* Ensures that STATs are transported to lab on a priority bases immediately for serious cases: Trauma, disaster; within 10 minutes of draw, 15 minutes for Timed labs and hourly for routine labs.
6. Utilizes computers as appropriate in completing assigned functions.
* Responsible for accurate computer entry of patient demographic and test information.
* Verifies all information for accuracy.
* Performs order entry/order transcription with no errors.
7. Organizes assigned work, meets deadlines, and accurately completes work load statistics.
* Draws assigned patients by the end of shift
* Meets deadlines for such things as competency, safety, procedure manual review, compliance, new test training.
* Responsible for maintaining adequate phlebotomy and clerical supplies in the work area, ordering items as required.
* Responsible for a specific departmental or laboratory project, duty, responsibility for greater than 6 months of the year or serving as a productive participant (defined by team leader) on a multidiscipline project or problem solving team.
* Perform point of care testing as designated by the Lab Director.
* Prepares outgoing mail, correspondence, emails and facsimiles.
* Displays problem solving and decision making skills.
* 80% attendance and participate in laboratory department meetings.
8. Helps co-workers when needed and communicates with clients, coordinators, other departments, and laboratory departments when needed to ensure an orderly work flow.
* Assists co-workers with blood-drawing procedures on morning rounds before returning to phlebotomy station.
* Informs floors of missed patients or patients not drawn for any reason at time of attempt.
* Informs Supervisor or technologist of problems in obtaining specimens for any reason.
* Maintains effective communication (oral and written) with clients, coworkers, and coordinators, transmitting ideas clearly and concisely.
* Answers phone and responds to non-technical questions from office personnel and patients.
9. Attends all required safety training programs and can describe his or her responsibilities related to general safety, department/service safety, and specific job-related hazards.
* Responsibly follows the hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.
10. Readily accepts changes in assignment. Performs work level of equal skill and responsibility as needed. May also perform work of a higher level in preparation for increased responsibility, and may be required to do work of lesser responsibility when the workload of the department so requires.
11. Will act as a receptionist, greet patients, and answer phones in the outpatient lab when required.
12. Is responsible for the daily cleaning of equipment and maintaining neatness throughout the department.
13. Records daily temperatures of all refrigerators in the phlebotomy areas.
14. Report issues to Department Coordinator.
* Report absentee call-ins to the Department Coordinator.
* Observe your department to ensure staff are performing their work assignments in accordance with proper laboratory procedure. Report problems areas to the Phlebotomy Coordinator/Department Director.
15. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department and shift.

6. Must be able to remain awake and alert during working hours. Physical presence at facility is required during scheduled working hours to perform job functions. Work in a timely manner, within the time allotted for the shift per census count.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.
