What You'll Do

Job Duties:
The Dental Assistant will support providers and patients in the Dental Clinic by performing chairside assisting and restorative support functions. Duties include:
Anticipating dentists' needs for instruments, materials, and patient care
Placing and finishing routine and complex restorations (alloy and composite)
Fabricating and placing temporary crowns and bridges, taking preliminary impressions, pouring and trimming models, and fabricating custom trays/bite rims
Exposing, processing, and mounting intra- and extra-oral radiographs
Performing oral prophylaxis, fluoride treatments, sealants, and the use of ultrasonic scaler/hand instruments
Providing post-treatment instructions and patient education on home care and disease prevention
Training and guiding junior dental assistants
Ordering/stocking supplies, sterilizing instruments, and maintaining clinic cleanliness and equipment

JOB SUMMARY: Recovery Mentors are a critical part of the SUD Treatment Team and work with SUD clients who are attempting to engage in recovery or in early stages of recovery. The majority of clients who are assigned Recovery Mentor services are involved in our intensive outpatient/Day Treatment program; some clients may be waiting for a residential treatment bed to come open or be stepping down from residential treatment into the Day Treatment program. Recovery Mentors are not counselors or clinicians but provide supports to clients that counselors are not able to offer. The Recovery Mentor works with their supervisor to design and implement education, referral, and parent components of the program. The Recovery Mentor is responsible for helping to facilitate classes and support groups along with group activities. They will maintain a personal recovery program, if applicable, as well as model recovery-appropriate behavior.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Participates and provides recovery coaching to people involved with BestCare Treatment Services using the following methods for engagement with clients:
Makes regular telephone contact which may include talking with clients who need support and are feeling prone to relapse; reminder calls to clients who are scheduled for assessments, groups, individual sessions; doing outreach to client who miss group or individual services to attempt to reengage them in treatment services;
Provides client transportation (when approved by supervisor): taking clients to/from treatment services/appointments, transport to detox or residential treatment, and other appointments when it is determined to be helpful by the primary clinician or treatment team;
Provides recovery coaching for clients during activities;
Makes home visits on a limited basis, with supervisor approval;
Attend sober support meetings, or other sober activities, in the community with clients.
Helps monitor and stay connected to clients who are in residential (and detox) to help with reengagement upon discharge;
Takes individuals or groups of clients to 12-Step meetings and/or clean and sober activities as appropriate;
Provides case management services including referrals to various resources (i.e. Food Bank, primary care/medical services, education entities, housing resources, etc.);
Assists prep and clean-up for evening groups as needed;
Provides individual, couples, and family support;
Helping clinicians in groups at the office, jail, etc. Providing back-up in groups and other treatment activities;
Helping clients develop and connect to non-using recovery activities (how to have fun clean and sober);
Maintains case notes of client contact within agency documentation timelines in the electronic health record system (EHR);
Assists the SUD team with UA drug testing if needed;
Completes attendance sheets, required report forms, and reports client participation to Supervisor;
Other related duties as assigned by supervisor or Program Manager.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a prison that houses maximum, close, medium, and minimum-security adults in custody.
The work locations vary from new to old building structures there also may be towers, walls, service tunnels, pipe chases, electrical chases, etc. All locations have multiple floors and tiered adult in custody housing which require the use of stairs. Walking to get to assigned workstation or in the performance of work will be required, this may be long distances.
Working conditions in service tunnels and pipe chases may include poor ventilation, high temperatures, poor lighting conditions, etc. Workers may be exposed to or work in inclement weather conditions, which can include rain, standing water, snow, ice, etc. Some work may involve walking and working on uneven ground. When working on, near or around storm drains and sewer systems, the worker may be exposed to contaminants. When working on, near or around heat exchangers, steam piping, and boilers, there is a possibility of burns from hot pipes and exposure to boiler chemicals. Work may include frequent lifting and carrying of equipment (light, medium, and heavy). At times, may work alone, in small groups, or in large groups of both employees and inmates depending upon operational needs. The use of hand tools, powered hand tools, stationary and portable power equipment, painting equipment, ladders, platforms, scaffolding, power lifts, etc. may be required.
At some locations work may include being near to and possibly working with asbestos and/or lead based paint. Workers will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety programs (Respiratory Protection, Asbestos, etc.) as dictated by the work and location.

Looking for a bachelor's level QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) Mobile Crisis Care Coordinator to work on a 2-person Mental Health Mobile Crisis team in Madras/Jefferson County. This full-time position schedule is unique in terms of scheduling which is an intensive approximately 2 days per week (24-hour shifts) and includes working on crisis team in the community and in the behavioral health clinic.
JOB SUMMARY: The Mobile Crisis Case Coordinator work as part of a two-person crisis response team (the other team member being a QMHP). Under the direction of the certified Mobile Crisis Counselor, the team is responsible for mobile crisis response, risk assessment and crisis stabilization planning for adults and children in the County. The Peer position is an integral part of this team, bringing their own lived experience with mental health to help connect with individuals in crisis and provide support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides crisis and risk assessment and intervention services in support of BestCare's mobile crisis response, including after hours, under the direction of a QMHP;
Provides immediate mobile response to individuals experiencing mental health crises in the assigned County. Calls may come from a variety of different sources including the hospital, jail, police, or other community partners;
Gathers information necessary to identify and assess risk factors for harm to self or others in the context of the client's current psycho-social state via interview with client and with consideration given to collateral information; makes recommendations for safety planning or higher level of care needs;
Provides assessment and recommendations to treatment providers and emergency departments as appropriate;
Assesses for personal safety in the environment and requests law enforcement support as appropriate;
Provides information and facilitates linkage to mental health treatment and other social services;
Operates in a sometimes ambiguous and frequently changing work environment;
Respects client rights and responsibilities and demonstrates professional boundaries and ethics;
Adheres to mandatory abuse reporting laws and HIPAA requirements;
Documents and maintains electronic health record (EHR) and ancillary records in a manner that assures compliance with all agency policies, program procedures and local, state, and federal regulations. Completes documentation within agency stated timelines. All crisis documentation must be approved and signed by supervisor or other designated QMHP;
Attends seminars, training, and other educational opportunities in order to develop professional skills and abilities;
Participates in all scheduled staff meetings, supervision sessions, and other departmental and agency meetings;
Collaborates effectively with other team members and community partners;
Provides case consultation and stays in communication with other MH providers;
Completes comprehensive safety plans, with direction from QMHP;
Completes appropriate follow-up with clients as required;
Assists in completing referrals, as necessary, to respite, or other higher levels of care;
Acts as a role model to clients to inspire hope and share life experiences as appropriate;
Telephones contacts, which include talking with clients who need support and are struggling and may be prone toward self-harm/suicidality or prone to making bad decisions;
Identifies person's abilities, strengths and assets and assist them to recognize and use them.
