Key Responsibilities: * Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD tools. * Collaborate with engineers to layout, design, and detail components that meet design objectives. * Update mechanical drawings and implement process engineering changes. * Perform tolerance analysis and dimensional checks on designs. * Supports prototype fabrication and its coordination. * Performs verification testing and interprets results for reporting. * Works under minimal supervision. What your background should look like * Associate degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience. * Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in mechanical design or product development. * Proficiency in PTC Creo and familiarity with PTC Windchill/PDMLink preferred. * Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles * Experience in connector design is highly desirable. * Hands-on experience in building and assembling prototypes, or a strong interest in developing these skills. * Solid mechanical aptitude and experience working with your hands * Basic understanding of manufacturing technologies such as molding, machining, stamping, plating, and component assembly. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). * Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills. Required Qualifications * Associate's degree in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science or related discipline. Bachelor degree preferred. * Minimum of three years' experience working in QA/QC. Experience within food manufacturing is desired. * Must be willing and able to obtain HACCP and PCQI certification within the first 6 months of employment. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential. * Ability to work at least 45 hours per week along with the flexibility to work 1 Saturday per month. * Experience with GMP regulations is preferred. * HACCP and/or PCQI certification are a plus. * SQF Practitioner certification is an advantage. Job Description Position Purpose: Provides day-to-day monitoring and basic plant, simple and routine lab tests and basic corrective and preventative maintenance activities. Primary Duties/Responsibilities: Operates equipment manually and through instrumentation panels, computer terminals and programmable logic control units following process control procedures. Monitors and observes operating conditions, records observations and data in shift log. Diagnoses basic operational problems and takes corrective action per procedure. Performs routine CLAIR (cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, inspection and minor repair) on machines and related equipment which may include pumps, engines, centrifuges, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, vacuum filters and belt presses. Reports and documents results of work performed and enters into appropriate database. Promptly reports any operational problems with machines or equipment to Lead or Supervisor. Collects water, wastewater, industrial waste, groundwater, sludge, residuals and/or gas samples according to schedule. Performs field tests (chemical, physical and biological) in order to pace chemical dosages for process and odor control units. Prepares chemical solutions, monitors supplies and recommends reorder. Performs basic and routine lab tests and prepares reports per procedure. Performs routine instrument calibration for portable meters including, but not limited to, dissolved oxygen, pH, H2S, percent oxygen, lower explosive limit. Performs manual labor including cleaning equipment, facilities and grounds as required and properly disposes of waste according to safety and environmental policies. Operates vehicles, mobile equipment and material handling equipment for operational and maintenance purposes. Work Environment: Spends 100% of the time in operations environment. Typically spends 25 - 35% of time exposed to outdoor and sometimes inclement weather. May serve rotational 24-hour emergency on-call. Possible Work Hazards : May be exposed to possible operations hazards including fumes, dust, toxic and caustic chemicals, noise, rotating machinery, high pressure and hot and cold temperatures, slippery surfaces, water and electrical hazards. Qualifications Education/Experience/Background: High school or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions. Six months to two years of experience in a related position with experience in a similar environment preferred with ability to comprehend specifications, blueprints and manuals.
