Supervisor, Revenue Accounting
This position will supervise Revenue Accounting staff to ensure optimum productivity, efficiency and effectiveness in meeting business objectives. Some primary duties of this role will include, but are not limited to: ensuring the proper recording and reporting of accounting transactions related to crude and refined transportation, terminalling, leased storage and other ancillary income, accounts receivable monitoring and collection, and working with various other departments on revenue related reporting.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
+ Supervise and support direct reports by assigning work, resolving problems, and ensuring standards for quality and quantity of work are met.
+ Provides consistent performance feedback and coaching to direct reports to assist in employee career development.
+ Reviews procedures and financial records to ascertain correctness and compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
+ Communicates with internal/external customers and/or contacts to improve processes and provide continuous customer satisfaction.
+ Develops and maintains operational specifications for accounting information systems Works directly with internal and external auditors, as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Performs complex accounting functions specific to Crude and Refined accounting, and oversees all accounting transactions related to billing of all revenue-related transactions
+ Prepares complex reports for internal management related to generation of revenue, comparison reports, trend reports, storage utilization, product transactions, exchanges, etc
+ Supervises a staff of four employees. Responsible for employee development, evaluation, setting goals, directing day to day work responsibilities and disciplinary actions if necessary. Ensures employees are held accountable for meeting jobrequirements
+ Develop and maintain operational specifications for accounting information systems (Atlas).
+ Coordinates accounting matters across other internal departments and may have contacts, relationships with external agencies
+ Other projects as assigned.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
+ 5+ years' experience, previous supervisory experience preferable.
+ Strong skills in Excel and Access are required
+ CPA certification preferred
+ Oracle Financial and Hyperion Essbase experience is preferred.
+ QlikSense, Alteryx or other business intelligence tools experience is desirable
