Documents improvements and analysis data, ensure swift and effective implementation. Analyze, record and chart documentation required for maintenance records and projects. Establishes benchmarks and shares improvement opportunities with department Shift Leader. Establish and follow-up full project implementation including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning. Prepare drawings, material specifications to requisition as required by vendors or other departments. Assist in developing and maintaining preventative/predictive maintenance procedures. Support or conduct training for and implementation of cross-functional repairs to equipment that includes electrical, mechanical, tooling etc. provided that it can be done safely. Takes part in the continuous improvement process to improve productivity and quality (provides suggestions at team meetings, understands losses and gives ideas/solutions, participates in trials/experiments, volunteers on committee or focus group activities, etc.) and focuses on solutions. Attends departmental and plant-wide communication meetings as scheduled. Attends training as scheduled. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Produce sew samples for manufacturing, testing, pre-production and validation samples. * Provide guidance to and trains sewing personnel in all the applicable trim process disciplines. * Assist with the development and evaluation of the prototype and production seating components. * Assist trim studio management and engineering activities by providing guidance on the appropriate sewing sequences in a production setting by simulating the production sewing sequences. * Verify pattern walk and notifies appropriate personnel of problems within the sewing on a trim cover assembly. * Consult with engineering and manufacturing groups during the trim development process to support manufacturing feasibility. * Perform layout and cutting of fabric/leather/vinyl, foam and foundation patterns as well as assembly of all related components (in manual & digital cutting process) * Assist with training and mentorship of team members on the sewing process * Maintain working knowledge of all parts required to build and/or tear down seat complete assembly. * Assist with obtaining materials, components etc. for development. * Teardown and build seats as required. * Perform preventative maintenance, pre-start inspections, and verification of equipment utilizing established procedures, as directed. * Maintain Good Housekeeping of the area * Ensure adherence to company, departmental and health and safety systems and policies to meet legislative requirements. * Supports Internal / External Audit efforts regarding ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949 Certification for remote site location (Group Office). * Supports the requirements as detailed in Standard Operating Procedure 8000 (Quality Management System). The ideal candidate will focus on business development, product and process improvement, innovation, and fostering strong relationships with internal customers at manufacturing plants. The Senior Manager will have P&L responsibility for their respective budget and will directly lead multiple teams. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will be instrumental in implementing a new matrix and agile working approach to enhance efficiency and collaboration with the other ISOL areas like Program Management, Operations Excellence, and Innovation. Your Responsibilities Leadership and Management: * Lead and manage multiple global teams, providing guidance, mentoring, training and performance management. * Build and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. * Drive the implementation of the new matrix organizational structure and agile methodologies to improve flexibility and responsiveness. * Manage resource allocation effectively for existing demands. * Manage the balance between efficiency and innovation effectively and build a team structure that is prepared for growth. Business Development: * Identify and pursue opportunities for IT to add value to the manufacturing area. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal customers at manufacturing plants, acting as a trusted partner and advisor. * Identifying and pursuing opportunities to increase customer satisfaction. * Collaborate with other functional leaders to align IT strategy with overall business objectives. Product and Process Improvement: * Oversee the support and continuous improvement of functional specific SAP PP/PM, MES, and other manufacturing-related IT systems. * Drive initiatives to enhance product functionality, streamline processes, and improve efficiency. * Implement best practices and innovative solutions to optimize IT support for manufacturing operations. * Develop vendors and their products according to the requirements of the Magna divisions (MES). Innovation and Strategy: * Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in manufacturing IT. * Develop and execute strategies to leverage new technologies and methodologies for competitive advantage. * Promote a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the IT team. Financial Management: * Manage the P&L for the manufacturing IT budget, ensuring financial targets are met. * Develop and oversee budget plans, monitor expenses, and implement cost-saving measures. * Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management. Who we are looking for * Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. * 8 years' experience in global program management in the automotive industry, preferably with cross-functional projects in ERP, LES, MES, B2B and other domains. * Proven experience with SAP PP/PM, MES, and other manufacturing-related IT systems. * Experience with batch and JIT/JIS production and delivery processes. * Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading global and multicultural teams in a matrix organization. * Excellent business acumen and understanding of manufacturing operations.
