McLaren Macomb is a 288-bed tertiary teaching hospital located in Mount Clemens, Michigan. McLaren Macomb provides a full range of services. The hospital is verified as a Level II Trauma Center and operates one of the busiest Emergency Centers in the area.

**Position Summary:**

Performs routine and complex Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures at a technical level that will produce high quality images consistent with established policies and procedures at a technical level typically requiring general supervision.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities** **:**

1. Specializes in performing routine and complex MRI procedures.

2. Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to foster a sense of comfort and confidence to patients and ensure the needs of individual patients are met.

3. Operates and maintains all assigned MRI equipment to ensure it works properly.

4. Positions patients and utilizes equipment in order to correctly capture the images requested by a physician.

5. Properly identifies, prepares and/or administers medications that are within the technologist's scope of practice as prescribed by a licensed independent practitioner.

6. Regularly replenishes stock such linen and related supplies.

7. Must maintain the required hours of continued education.

8. Must be flexible.

9. Must be able to multi-task.

**Qualifications**

+ Graduation from an AMA-approved school of radiology technology.

+ Advanced ARRT Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

+ ARRT Radilogy Certification
