Posted Salary Range USD $30.00 - USD $38.00 /Hr. Wage Commensuration The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Duties & Responsibilities
Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state (as required)
1-2 years wound care experience required
Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred
1+ years of long term care experience preferred
Reliable transportation required

Current license to practice nursing in South Carolina.
BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required. Successful completion of CPI training during orientation.

In lieu of one (1) year of registered nurse experience, will accept 1 year of licensed practical nurse (LPN) experience for internal candidates within the same service line.

Provides clinical direction for all aspects of patient care in an acute inpatient setting, fostering patient/family centered care. Prisma Health Richland Hospital 7 East Surgical Trauma Unit
A regional academic medical center and hospital with more than 125 years of service to Columbia, Prisma Health Richland Hospital provides a wide range of primary and specialty healthcare services. Our Trauma Center is the only Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center in the Midlands.
A 30-bed medical surgical unit primarily geared towards adult patients requiring care after experiencing traumatic injury typically requiring surgical intervention. The standard nurse to patient ratio is 1:4 flexing up to 1:5 as needed. The unit is equipped with telemetry monitoring for up to 7 patients. Our patients are hemodynamically stable. Examples of these patients include those with injuries related to gunshot wounds or other penetrating injury, assaults, motor vehicle crashes, and falls. Four rooms are equipped to be used as "Safety Suites." These four rooms are for the care of the traumatic brain injury patient and are semi-private and closely monitored.

Duties & Responsibilities
Works under direct supervision using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, Practice Guidelines and nursing judgment.
Responsible for delivering nursing care to patients requiring care, collecting patient data, making observations and reporting pertinent information to the care of patients.
Will also direct and supervise care given by other nursing staff members as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must be a licensed LPN in good standing with the state (as required)
1+ years of nursing experience in a long-term care facility strongly preferred
Reliable transportation required
