Maid Careers

A maid is a domestic worker responsible for housekeeping in hotels or residences. Everything related to cleaning is the business of a maid, from mopping, sweeping, and vacuum cleaning to washing the windows, replacing dirty bed sheets, and doing laundry.

The more things you can manage to do simultaneously, and the more tasks you can accomplish within a given time frame, the more your employees will appreciate you. So multitasking and time management are the things you need to practice to make the most of this job.

Paying attention to detail and communicating efficiently will go a long way, just like in most other occupations. Being a maid is physically quite demanding, so you will be able to save on your gym membership, which is good news, considering that the average hourly salary of a maid is currently between $11 and $14.

Between 2018 and 2028, the career is expected to grow 7% and produce 159,800 job opportunities across the U.S.
