The E-Commerce Clerk picks up merchandise and prepares/photographs the items for placement on Shopgoodwill.com by following a strict procedure. The E-Commerce clerk is required to write a description of the item using basic computer skills and photographs items so that the item can be clearly displayed and identified on the Shop Goodwill website.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Picks and pulls merchandise from shelves to prepare for photographing.
Displays and photographs items and places item picture on Shop Goodwill website.
Write a grammatically correct description of the merchandise that is for sale.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keeps Shop Goodwill shelves organized with merchandise.
Must have the ability to write grammatically correct descriptions of merchandise that is for sale on the website.
Must photograph merchandise to display on the Shop Goodwill website.
Must answer customer questions regarding the merchandise for sale.
Must work with supervisor to price merchandise that is for sale.
Excellent attendance and punctuality, and good customer service skills.
Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Meets daily goals according to standard operating procedures.
Assists in process improvements for material flow and job tasks.
Report supplies needs to supervisor.
Assists with the security of the store inventory. Recognizes that all items donated or purchased by Goodwill belong to the company and are not to be taken, given away or sold inappropriately.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Demonstrates excellent work habits for employees and program participants, maintaining a good attitude towards the operation of the entire facility, and is a positive role model for individuals receiving rehabilitation services.
Ensure all safety rules are adhered to, and the general upkeep of your area meets the standards of Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. Reports accidents or injuries immediately.
Maintains a high level of confidentiality regarding Goodwill Industries of El Paso, Inc. and persons receiving services.
Assists in other areas as requested.
Qualifications & Physical Demands
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
Customer service experience, and experience in operation of computers and Microsoft Office software (word, excel) and data entry, preferred.
Experience with a digital camera a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent writing skills and spelling are required.
Adhere to all safety procedures and report all incidents/accidents in a timely manner.
Must be able to work flexible hours (including weekends if needed).
Experience in a used goods or retail store is helpful.
Knowledge of a wide variety of products in order to ensure items are complete and of good value.
Must have a pleasant and friendly attitude.
Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Ability to develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, customers, donors, and persons receiving services.

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Preferred Experience with LPAC procedures and language assessment tools
Bilingual or multilingual proficiency
Experience with data analysis and reporting

Strong knowledge of language assessment and proficiency standards (e.g., WIDA, TELPAS)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with diverse student populations and staff
