The WIC Clerk position provides clerical and reception support to our Bremerton WIC location. You will be responsible for answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, providing counseling and nutritional education for clients under the direction of the WIC Manager or Site Supervisor, and documenting nutrition services, goals and literature provided in the client's file.

Qualifications:
Required Education: High school diploma or GED

Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus

Conduct preliminary client interviews for intake services and appointment scheduling.
Make appropriate referrals to other community agencies when necessary.
Provide front desk coverage for walk ins and phone calls as needed.
Perform clerical duties to include typing, filing, telephone services, appointment scheduling, ordering and WIC benefit issuance.
Ensure accuracy and timely completion and submittal of WIC eligibility determination.
Update community resource list as applicable to WIC families.
Provide Nutrition Education.
Help manage clinic flow with separation of duties and keep on track with appointment schedule.
Maintain WIC lobby to ensure a welcoming, safe, and sanitary environment.
Timely completion and implementation of all Clerk trainings, prior to starting Certifier Training.
Participate in in-services, health fairs, community meetings, and job-related education programs.
Assist in the development and office organization of nutrition education displays, posters, literature, and other creative projects.
Attend and participate in unit, division, and agency staff meetings.

Responsibilities:
