The Radiology department is seeking a remote Board Certified/Fellowship trained Evening Neuroradiologists to join our team. You will read 100% Neuroradiology. At Maimonides, we are continuously expanding our services and remain at the forefront of innovative medicine. Our Comprehensive Stroke Center was recently ranked #1 in the United States for patient survival. We are a Level One Trauma Center and Brooklyn's first fully accredited Cancer Center treating patients of all ages. We perform a high volume of imaging for our busy spine services and otolaryngology practices affiliated with the hospital and for other groups seeking high-level imaging services in the borough. In addition to its hospital-based practice, the Radiology department has 2 outpatient imaging centers and a third under construction. We have state-of-the-art imaging equipment and post-processing technology with integrated PACS and Voice Recognition and remote access via VPN for all radiologists. In this role, you will: Provide accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic reports during evening shifts (typically 4pm-12am Mon-Fri and weekend coverage). Participate in emergency and trauma imaging interpretation, supporting the hospital's Level One Trauma and Comprehensive Stroke Center. Collaborate with clinical teams (neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, spine services) to provide consultative expertise on imaging findings. Participate in resident teaching and training, providing feedback and educational support as part of the department's academic mission. Your work will ensure the safe, accurate, and effective delivery of radiation therapy for our patients, making a direct impact on their care and outcomes. At our Radiation Oncology Department, you'll work with a cutting-edge array of equipment, including VARIAN ETHOS system with HyperSight, VARIAN Halcyon, VARIAN Trilogy (soon to be replaced with a VARIAN EDGE), GE PET/CT Simulator, and Siemens CT Simulator (featuring 4D and MAR options). We are also integrating VisionRT's novel SGRT solutions, such as InBore Align RT, SimRT, and MapRT, into our clinical workflow. This is an exciting opportunity for you to be involved in the development of adaptive treatment protocols using SGRT techniques. Our department boasts a highly active brachytherapy program, offering a wide range of treatment modalities. Our physicians, who are recognized experts in brachytherapy, utilize the state-of-the-art VARIAN Bravos afterloader for high-dose-rate (HDR) treatments, including GYN, interstitial, and contact procedures. Additionally, all radiopharmaceutical infusions, such as XOFIGO and PLUVICTO, are administered in a specialized area within the department. Maimonides currently seeks a full-time outpatient palliative care physician for our established clinic at Maimonides Cancer Center. Clinical: Provide outpatient palliative care, manage symptoms, facilitate advance care planning, build patient panel and referral relationships, collaborate with oncology and multidisciplinary teams. Growth: Opportunities to expand services to non-cancer populations and develop palliative medicine fellowship program. Academic: Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows; deliver lectures; pursue clinical research; potential SUNY Downstate faculty appointment. Service: Engage in quality improvement initiatives, interdisciplinary committees, and clinical protocol development. We require: Graduate from an accredited medical school (MD/DO) Fellowship training in hospice and palliative medicine BE/BC in related field (internal medicine, pediatrics, family medicine, etc.) and BE/BC in hospice and palliative medicine. BE physicians are required to pass their boards at the earliest date possible. Overview Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs diagnostic radiological procedures. Responsibilities * Performs and obtains high quality radiographs on all patients (i.e. In-Patients, Emergency Room Patients or Private Out Patients); recognizes the need for and utilizes lead sheeting where appropriate in accordance with departmental policies. * As required, transports patients to and from X-Ray rooms. * Assists the Radiologist with hard-to-move patients when requested. * Utilizes all X-ray equipment permitted within the scope of their license and within the realm of their training. * Patient care responsibilities are delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served. * Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
