To enhance, every day, the health of our patients, our families and our communities. Augusta Family Medicine, part of the primary care team at MaineGeneral Medical Center, is seeking a family medicinephysician to join our busy practice located in Augusta, Maine.
This is a traditional outpatient practice, providing a wide range of care including pediatrics, adult medicine, gynecology, and geriatric medicine. Procedural care, such as osteopathic manipulation, sports medicine, minor surgery, and acupuncture, is encouraged, though not required; the ability to perform medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder is also available.
The practice currently is staffed with an incredible team of physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners, along with an on-site PMHNP, care management and counseling services. The practice is co-located with an Express Care practice, with imaging services conveniently located within the building.

Must be board certified or eligible for certification in Child Psychiatry.
BLS for Healthcare Provider required within three months of hire.
Must hold a Maine medical license and active Maine DEA.
This team provides comprehensive interdisciplinary therapeutic interventions for a range of childhood difficulties including speech, motor, emotional, and behavioral. Located in Augusta, Maine's state capital, staff are very involved in programs that help develop medical and mental health policy. The psychiatrist will have the opportunity to work with graduate students, medical students and family medicine residents.

Join our dynamic Pediatric Hospitalist team in providing care for newborns (including well-newborns, Level II NICU and delivery attendance), pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consults at our state-of-the-art facility located in Augusta, Maine.
Candidates must especially be comfortable with neonatal resuscitation, newborn care and stabilization of critically ill newborns while awaiting transfer to a tertiary care center.
Additional Position Details:
* You will join an established team of pediatric hospitalists and adult hospitalists, with a commitment to providing up-to-date, evidence-based care to our local community as well as quality education to our medical learners.
* 12 or 24 hour shifts available.
* Provide care independently each shift with in-house support from OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine and family practice physicians; pediatric subspecialty/NICU/PICU support available by phone at the state's two children's hospitals (nearest facility 1 hour away by ground).
* Teaching responsibilities include 1-2 learners (family medicine residents and medical students) as part of the team on weekdays.
* Average daily census of 4-6 patients.
