Consult with the referring physician and patient's medical record regarding the patient's history to determine the appropriate procedure, when necessary. Performs all General Ultrasound assisted procedures. Consults with the Radiology Medical Director or Director of Diagnostic Services when necessary. Operates complex ultrasound equipment, monitors, recorders, and other patient assessment equipment pertinent to departmental needs. Processes all pertinent forms and forwards them to the Imaging Front Office for those documents to be scanned into the EHR for documentation. Performs order communication functions with the IT/IS systems. Properly enters orders and charges into the IT/IS system. Address billing inquiries and issues promptly and with the appropriate person for resolution. Performs miscellaneous duties as requested and needed. Maintains required licenses, certifications, and competencies, and completes annual compliance courses on time. Supporting student learning is a shared responsibility.
