Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines. * Explain X-ray and CT procedures to patients. * Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary. * Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic procedures and special radiographic procedures. * Accurately process images for optimal quality. Match with appropriate paperwork for interpretation. * Charge radiographic procedures; able to modify orders. * Demonstrate acceptable film quality standards by critiquing positioning, technical factors, and collimation. * Understands and uses PACS systems. * Demonstrates flexibility and proficiency to support system needs including but not limited to the OR, orthopedic office, fluoroscopy, as well as off-site x-ray needs. * Perform other related duties incidental to the work Qualifications for this position: * Associates Degree or Certificate from two-year college, university, or certificate-based program. * ARRT registered or registry eligible, state of Maine license. * BLS certification obtained within four months of hire and maintained thereafter. * Obtain CT license within one year of hire York Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Tech is responsible for providing accurate documentation and summarization of the examinations and recommendations as part of the patient appointment. Essential Functions: 1. Completes diagnostic radiology procedures following departmental protocols. 2. Confidently explains diagnostic radiology to patients. 3. Accurately and consistently completes required Diagnostic Radiology paperwork. 4. Maintains current standards of practice through review of current literature, including information on best practice for images. 5. Assists department supervisor as needed for daily, monthly, quarterly quality control as needed. 6. Communicates examination outcomes to provider appropriately. 7. Assist department supervisor with of inventory specific to radiology. 8. Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations. 9. Remains available to the physician during all patient appointments. 10. Completes the superbill and/or the check-out form, at the direction of the physician. 11. Completes proper sterilization of all office instruments and equipment as necessary. 12. Assesses all clinical calls with provider to determine acuity. 13.
