Duties and Responsibilities * Performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures, or routine screening and at least two other modalities such as x-ray, EKG or bone densitometry, or performs screening mammography in a mobile environment. Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns. If performing bone densitometry exams, positions patients safely while performing scans of the spine, hip and/or forearm. * Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies. * Maintains department quality assurance programs. * Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedures. * Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department. * Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations. * Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department.
