The Cardiovascular Clinical Research Department is looking for an experienced Coordinator Research Nurse to join our team. Experience in cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or vascular disease is preferred. Responsibilities will include coordinating Phase II, III, and IV inpatient and outpatient drug trials as well as device clinical trials.
* Clinical trials are industry and physician initiated and managed by the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research and the Lankenau Heart Institute. Attention to detail, accurate record keeping, data collection, and communication with various support research collaborators are required in the day-to-day activities. The Clinical Research Nurse facilitates all multi-disciplinary interactions for research subjects enrolled, provides education and promotes quality patient coordination for research study requirements and safety for all subjects. This work is carried out under physician investigator guidance and delegation, program manager guidance and working closely with members of the clinical research team.

Location:
* Clinical research program focused at Lankenau Medical Center and Bryn Mawr Hospital. May expand to Riddle Hospital and Paoli Hospital.
* Requires the ability to travel periodically between health system hospitals.
Experience:
* Hospital or clinical setting experience of 1-3 + years, preferably related to cardiology, cardiac surgery and/or vascular surgery or nursing,
* Field related experience in a related medical area considered,
* Clinical research experience in cardiology clinical trials preferred, other specialties considered,
* Proficiency in utilizing multiple e-based tools: Office365/SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Office tools, navigating websites,
* Utilization of complex databases, electronic health records (EHR) systems and web-based data collection tools (ie REDCAP).
* Strong written and verbal skills in the English language.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Licensures/Certifications:
Pennsylvania RegisteredNurse license, CPR certification, Clinical Research Certification preferred (ACRP, SoCRA). Hospital credentialing as required.

5 South is a 22-bed medical telemetry unit serving young adults to geriatric patients with a variety of medical diagnoses which may require telemetry monitoring. This unit provides peritoneal dialysis services for all peritoneal dialysis patients within the hospital, and plasmapheresis requiring this treatment. STAT Nurse Externs have the ability to pick up shifts at any one of our 4 acute care hospitals. While completing your application, you will be asked to list your preferred hospital placement location(s). Schedule: The Nurse Extern Program is a year-round position (not a summer only role). The hours requirement for Nurse Externs is a minimum of 24 hours per week during the summer after training is completed (June/July/August) and a minimum of 16 hours per month during the fall and spring semesters (September to May). Shifts available: Nurse Externs must have the ability to work day, evenings, and night shift, as well as weekend (Saturday and Sunday) shifts. Most shifts are 12 hours. Hourly Rate: $18.00 per hour. Nurse Externs who work evening and night shifts are eligible to receive a shift differential. Nurse Externs are merit eligible. Key Responsibilities: * Perform basic nursing support duties such as taking vital signs, AM/PM care, EKGs, blood glucose monitoring, finger sticks, phlebotomy and more. * Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EPIC). * Support patient mobility, comfort, and safety. * Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. * Participate in patient care planning and review sessions. * Adhere to all hospital protocols and infection control practices. Qualifications: * Actively enrolled in an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ASN, or BSN). * Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred * Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. * Flexibility and availability to work year-round. * Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
