+ Responsible for performing mechanical, electrical, and electronic plant/equipment maintenance so that production down time is minimized and efficiency is maximized.
+ Support, implement, and maintain food safety and quality practices as required through SQF and other food safety programs as required.

**Essential Job Activities/Duties:**
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems of all plant equipment including mechanical drive systems and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as wiring, circuits, fuses, switches, electrical installations, transformers, motors, and AC & DC motor drives.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electronic problems of plant and packaging/processing equipment such as programmable controllers, circuit boards, install electronic components, computer programming.
+ Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, check and replace items, and conduct equipment inspections.
**Secondary Job Activities:**
+ Provide maintenance and operator training to ensure proper use of equipment.
+ Design and fabricate replacement parts or equipment: Cut, grind, weld to repair equipment.
+ Keep track of parts inventory and request replacement parts when necessary.
+ Ensure parts are installed in equipment when received.
+ Keep all work and shop areas clean so as to avoid injury and/or sanitation problems.
+ Provide input into mechanical, electrical and electronic designs of equipment.
+ Perform other assigned duties as required.

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Under close supervision, the Facilities Maintenance Worker I is responsible for learning Goodwill's infrastructure, systems, and facilities, using tools and equipment, and a wide variety of practices and procedures to perform general maintenance, remodel and renovation of all facilities owned or leased by Licking/Knox Goodwill Industries. This includes, but is not limited to, technical maintenance, repair, installation, alteration, and construction activities involving carpentry, plumbing, roofing, painting, mechanical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and HVAC installation, and electrical trades work.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Industrial or trade school graduation or certification is preferred.
Valid Driver License with a clean driving record to be able to be insured by our company.
Must be able to pass BCI background check and pre-employment drug test which includes THC.
Minimum of one year of full-time experience in construction, maintenance, and/or facilities systems, including the use of hand and power tools.
Skills:
Able to use construction mathematics for determining slope, calculating square footage, etc.
Knowledge of OSHA, ADA and Ohio Department of Motor Vehicle laws and regulations.
Maintain files and documents. Prepare reports and correspondence as required.
Ability to meet driving standards and travel to sites throughout Central Ohio.
Must have the physical ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and reach as required to complete the job. Be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Support shutdown activities
Verify needed spare parts are on hand and stocked. Items that are not controlled by MRO may need to be added
Perform basic maintenance activities, which may included basic wiring or similar activities
All work should be recorded in Plex. This should include work was done and how long.
Work with Press Maintenance Technician to learn technical skills that is needed to develop to become a Press Maintenance Technician
Follow all Safety Policies and wear all proper PPE

What you will do in the role:
Preventative Maintenance and Repair: Inspect and monitor building systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and emergency equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. You will perform scheduled maintenance tasks, including filter changes, cleaning, safety checks, and part replacements, following all standards and manufacturer guidelines. You will also respond to emergencies promptly, update maintenance records, and provide repair support to regional teams as needed. Includes participation in an after-hours on-call rotation approximately every six weeks.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with OSHA, CHN safety programs, and all regulatory standards while accurately documenting inspections, work orders, inventory, and mileage. Stay informed on industry regulations and promptly report safety hazards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Inventory: Manage truck inventory by adding items to work orders as needed and coordinate with the Maintenance Assistant Director and Inventory Clerk to order specialty items.
Collaboration and Communication: Provide training and guidance to staff, interns, and volunteers, contribute to CHN initiatives, and perform additional duties while actively engaging as a member of the CHN community.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in property maintenance, facilities management, or a related role with a focus on preventative maintenance.
Experience in one or more repair trade areas, including general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products and ability to learn and adapt to changing technology utilized in role.
Basic understanding of work order management software
Knowledge of building systems and strong understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices
Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes
