Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Performs mid to expert level break-fix & preventative maintenance. · Complies with 5S and housekeeping standards.
· Drives and participates in CI activities - processes, results and cost savings.
· Updates records and reviews CMMS history.
· Troubleshoots and analyzes control systems to resolve software/ hardware and configuration problems.
· Utilizes predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
· Provides assistance to lower level technicians and leadership to small teams. Performs more advanced functions as a part of training and development.
· Completes on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
· Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Situational awareness and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
· High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
· Associates degree with a Technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry; or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
· Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power and control systems. Can analyze problems and perform repairs.
· Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate
· May be required to travel.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. General Summary:
The Electrician reports to a Superintendent or person designated by the Superintendent to perform assigned functions in accordance with company policies and procedures and assist in achieving the project's goals and objectives. Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, equipment and associated materials within the electrical construction industry.
Preferred Job Skills:
Must possess in-depth commercial or industrial electrical construction experience, and be able to meet or exceed productivity goals. Demonstrated ability to install conduit, wire and cable systems is required. Ability to install and terminate panels, switchboards and other electrical equipment. Must have basic math skills, dependable transportation and a willingness to commute daily to remote job sites. Must possess effective communication skills.

Responsibilities:
Must adhere to Ace Electric's Safety Program.

Must possess a complete understanding of construction drawings and details, and be able to visualize the 3-dimensional structure represented.

Direct the work of Electrician Helpers and Apprentices as assigned by Superintendent or their designated person.
Accurately install conduit, wire, pre-fab assemblies, panel-boards, light fixtures, devices, and other equipment per layout by the Superintendent or designated person.
Prevent excessive waste of labor and materials by performing high quality installations, consistent with the designed layout, without requiring rework.
Follow construction drawings and other documents to ensure that concealed wiring is installed before completion of wall, ceiling, and flooring finishes are installed.
Measure, cut, bend, thread, ream, and install conduit, using appropriate tools such as hacksaw, band saw, pipe threader and conduit bender.
Pull and terminate branch and feeder conductors.
Terminate wiring to light fixtures, motors, panels, devices, and other electrical equipment, using hand tools and power tools.
Utilize test equipment to test voltage, amperage, and continuity of circuit wiring to ensure compatibility and safety of components.
Ability to trouble-shoot and perform repairs on faulty circuits, equipment or systems.
Complete all required documentation.

License: Valid state driver's license as required by job conditions or by the company.

Job requires working in all weather elements; heat, cold, rain, or snow, depending on job location and time of year.

When inventory controlled items are check out of the supply room to replace defective item on the facility or production equipment the, defective item is to be tagged with equipment name, number, Shaw Part number and indication of problem then returned to supply room for repairs and or replacement. These are items such as PLC, PCB, motors, inverters and other electronic devices that are repairable.
11. Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform all work in a safe manner. Follow the Lock-out and Tag-out procedures when performing work on equipment. Should management request that you perform an unsafe practice, you should contact the Health/Safety & Environmental Manager for approval.
12. Willing to work various hours on any shift or shifts as may be needed.
13. Employee will use the company's workorder management system "CMMS" to perform any task and or repairs of equipment (all work requires a workorder).
14. Attend weekly safety meeting or read the weekly safety message if made available through Health/Safety & Environmental Manager. After reading safety message or attending meeting you must sign off on the weekly safety message sheet.
15. Should temporary repairs occur this will be noted on the work order.
16. Serve as battery charge attendant.

11. Maintain a clean and safe work area and perform all work in a safe manner. Follow the Lock-out and Tag-out procedures when performing work on equipment. Should management request that you perform an unsafe practice, you should contact the Health/Safety & Environmental Manager for approval.
12. Willing to work various hours on any shift or shifts as may be needed.
13. Employee will use the company's workorder management system “CMMS” to perform any task and or repairs of equipment (all work requires a workorder).
