The current base salary range for this role is between $21.00 - $60.40. As an Underground Laborer with an active Class A CDL, you play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunications infrastructure. You will work closely with the team to ensure the successful completion of projects related to conduit placement, cable installation, and equipment setup in underground pathways. Requirements:
Basic Requirements:
Current Class A CDL license with a clean driving record.
Maintain a valid driver's license.
Turn in daily deliverables and production reports.
Set up and maintain a safe work environment with proper PPE.
Punctual and dependable, with minimal unexcused absences.
Maintain, clean, and organize work area, truck, equipment, and tools.
Collaborate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers.
Demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills.
Submit completed fuel slips, equipment walkthroughs, and documentation.
Ensure proper fueling of vehicles and equipment as needed.
Perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
CDL Responsibilities:
Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations.
Drive long and short distances to job sites, ensuring timely and safe transportation of materials and equipment.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks and equipment, ensuring everything is in proper working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of vehicle maintenance, fuel usage, and travel routes.
Load and unload materials and equipment as required, securing items for safe transportation.
Assist with navigating complex job sites and tight spaces while operating large vehicles.
Ensure the safe delivery of fiber optic materials and other project-related supplies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground fiber optic infrastructure (cables, conduits, etc.).
Assist in trenching, cable pulling, and fiber splicing.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to OSHA and NESC standards.
Complete daily work reports, time sheets, and project documentation.
Maintain and inspect company vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance.
Ensure safe handling and organization of tools, equipment, and materials.
Be available 24/7 for on-call rotations and flexible working hours.
Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions with customers, vendors, and team members.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ensure all company assets (vehicles, tools, materials) are protected.
Support team goals by collaborating with supervisors and coworkers.
Handle all paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
Perform other duties as assigned.
