About the Role The Maintenance Mechanic maintains and repairs production equipment on all levels, keeping down time to a minimum. Aide and observe all outside contractors, including escorting and monitoring work done to ensure safe practices. Maintain a spare parts list and inventory of critical spares. Communicate with production operators and production manager about any equipment being out of service and an estimated time for return to service. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year technical school w/ 2 years' experience repairing automated equipment OR a minimum of a High School Diploma and 6 years' experience repairing automated equipment required. 3-5 years' manufacturing industry experience preferred. Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, steam, and operation of automated equipment required. Effective communication skills required. Forklift and scissor lift certifications a plus. Solar installation experience is preferred but not required. Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is required. Ability to comprehend and execute the installation of electrical service equipment, including transformers, meter banks, and fuse switches. Be skilled in critical path analysis for project planning and execution. Capable of designing and explaining a fall rescue plan. Ability to specify and implement a fall protection system. Familiarity with cost-benefit analysis for project efficiency. Proven ability to retain personnel on the crew. Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with project managers, clients, other trades, and Sunkeeper installers. Must maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times Compensation: $28 - 35 / hour; commensurate with experience.
