**Work Environment**
This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa. The role requires flexibility with shifts, including a 3rd shift from 11pm-7am, Monday through Friday. During peak busy seasons, work may extend up to 80 hours, with additional compensation for weekend work. The work environment is a typical tire manufacturing facility with machines from the 1940s and some new automated equipment. The facility is not temperature-controlled, and employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, and hearing protection when on the production floor.

Looking for a talented and experienced industrial manufacturing technician to work alongside talented and experienced team members in our family oriented company. Must be able to enjoy their work and have fun while getting the work done in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities:
* Provides maintenance support required to sustain continuous operation of packaging and processing equipment.
* Ability to learn machine set up and demonstrate competency by 90 days.
* Complete all daily paperwork and walk through items and understand their importance.
* Ensures compliance to quality, food safety, HAACP, 5S and OSHA support programs; assures conformity to all company, customer and government standards.
* Attempts to identify problems before they result in a hazard or downtime situation.

* Repairs and replaces vari-drives, speed reducers, vacuum pumps, and product pumps.
* Ability to wire and troubleshoot a Start/Stop circuit
* Perform monthly checks including safety and food safety such as fire extinguishers check
* Paints and/or repairs any surfaces in or around the building and grounds.
* Welding- TIG, MIG and arc weld on carbon and stainless steel.
* Sets up and operates tools such as drill press or grinder to make or repair parts.
