Key Responsibilities Electrical Duties: - Install, maintain, and troubleshoot 120V-480V AC electrical systems - Wire and troubleshoot motor control circuits (VFDs, contactors, relays, overloads) - Read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts - Work with PLCs - wiring I/O and diagnostics - Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance Instrumentation Duties: - Install, calibrate, and maintain transmitters (pressure, flow, level, temperature) - Configure and troubleshoot HART and 4-20mA analog signal loops - Maintain and troubleshoot control valves, I/P converters, thermocouples, and RTDs - Perform loop checks and assist with system commissioning Maintenance Duties: - Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems - Support SCADA integration tasks - Document all work performed Excel, Project Manager - Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts Tools and Equipment Used - Multimeter, clamp meter, megger - Loop calibrator - HART communicator - Hand tools, power tools - PLC software (Studio 5000, TIA Portal), SCADA interfaces Qualifications Education & Experience: - Associate's degree or technical certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Industrial Maintenance - 3+ years of industrial electrical or instrumentation experience - Familiarity with NEC, ISA standards, NFPA 70 Skills and Competencies - Strong knowledge of electrical and control system theory - Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and schematics - Safety-first mindset with strong troubleshooting skills - Comfortable working independently or as part of a cross-functional team Schedule - Full-time - May require rotating shifts, on-call duty, or weekend work depending on plant needs Compensation & Benefits - Competitive hourly pay - Overtime available - Health, dental, vision insurance

Radiant is an El Segundo, CA-based startup building the world's first mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors. The company's first reactor, Kaleidos, is a 1-megawatt failsafe microreactor that can be transported anywhere power is needed and run for up to five years without the need to refuel. Portable nuclear power with rapid deploy capability can replace similar-sized diesel generators, and provide critical asset support for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. Radiant's unique, practical approach to nuclear development utilizes modern software engineering to rapidly achieve safe, factory-built microreactors that leverage existing, well-qualified materials. Founded in 2020, Radiant is on track to test its first reactor next year at the Idaho National Laboratory, with initial customer deliveries beginning in 2028. Responsibilities and Duties: Read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams. Assemble, wire, and integrate hardware including PCBs, harnesses, electrical panels, and enclosures. Complete work according to procedures and specifications. Collaborate with engineers to develop and document processes. Expert using manufacturing tools including but not limited to soldering irons, cutters, strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches. Familiarity with electromechanical testing including continuity, hi-pot, and pull test. Abide by a high level of operational standards regarding safety, reliability, and cleanliness. Understand the basics of electrical hardware and how to interact with it safely. Required Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience with military/aerospace grade electronics. Experience with high-power electronics and batteries. Knowledge of production equipment and tooling to build out a functional electromechanical manufacturing floor. Ability to flex to projects in support of near-term company goals. Experience with NASA-STD-8739.4, IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620. Experience with UL-508A, NFPA-70 (NEC). Preferred Requirements: Standing, bending, and working with small components for extended periods. Good vision and fine motor skills for precision electrical assembly work. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Positive attitude and able to work well on a team with minimal oversight. Able to stay organized and strong attention to detail. Able to work in outdoor environments as needed. Ability to work at elevated heights occasionally (scissor lifts, ladders, etc.) Ability to travel on occasion for offsite support. Additional Requirements: Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to accomplish our mission. Must work 100% onsite at El Segundo HQ.
