The position works cooperatively with SMART management, employees, and contractors to ensure the quality and timeliness of facility maintenance efforts are acceptable to federal, state, and Authority standards. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in overseeing contractors used in minor construction projects such as; curb cuts, lead walks, door/gate repairs, electrical repairs and wiring, pump and motor replacement, roof repairs, plumbing, etc. Coordinates with Parts Department and/or Facilities Project Manager to care, store, and account for inventories used in activities. Recommends to supervisors to stock or re-stock needed materials, supplies, and equipment. Completes and maintains work orders, journals, reports, and other records as necessary to document, track, and otherwise control and assess the repair, maintenance, or replacement of all facilities and appurtenances. May perform welding tasks. · Conforms and complies with customer contractor codes of conduct, housekeeping standards, and safety processes · Documents work performed in service reports, and applicable management systems. · Performs routine processes with and within industrial control systems to troubleshoots and analyzes complex equipment, perform equipment maintenance, and to resolve equipment problems. · Utilizes in-depth application of electrical, mechanical, and fluid power aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment. · Completes and conducts on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development. · Follows all safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines. Full-time Description Under general supervision, perform journey-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems; act as lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required.
