Job Summary
The duties of this position are to troubleshoot, maintain, and upgrade equipment when required and provide preventive maintenance for the electrical components, processes, equipment, facilities and infrastructure within the facility. Identifies electrical malfunctions, using test instruments. Inspects and troubleshoots machinery and equipment to determine cause of malfunction or extent of wear or damage. Performs repairs and maintains equipment as necessary. Tests electrical equipment for safety and efficiency using standard test equipment.
Installs fixtures, motors and other electrical equipment and makes adjustments. Inspects circuits and wiring for specified shielding and grounding and repairs or rewires systems according to code and safety regulations. Ability to understand ladder logic and PLC programming.
Repairs mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic or electronic components of electrical equipment using standard tools and gauges.
Plans layout and wires new installations.
Required to follow all OSHA safety regulations per our safety program and all safety policies and procedures when performing repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Electrical trade school graduate or completion of electrician apprenticeship program a plus

The Electrical Maintenance Technicians at the Amrize Ravena, NY cement plant work as part of a team to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the plant and quarry in order to maximize operational efficiency.
