Who we are looking for: We are currently looking for a 1st Shift Journeyman Industrial Electrician to be based out of New Bedford, MA. Reporting to the Supervisor, the Journeyman Industrial Electrician will work alone or as part of a team to install, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices and related equipment in a manufacturing environment. This individual will have the ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and specifications to provide troubleshooting and repair services. Diagnose, locate the cause of, and repair malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure safety to himself and others utilizing LOTO procedures. Understand ARC flash hazards in the workplace. Ensure all work performed adheres to all relevant organizational, state and federal safety regulations, codes and specifications. What you'll bring: Must be an Electrician with a Journeyman Electrical license in the state of Massachusetts. High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years Industrial Electrician experience required with preference given to those with a background in a manufacturing environment.
