Ensures the operation of machinery and plant facility. Controls down time by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance.
Completion of plant weekly and production down day assignments and record all tasks in our maintenance preventive care form.
Perform routine and emergency service on Ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment commonly found in industrial applications.
Share technical skills with new employees.
Determines dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting the used parts using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices.
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments. Removes defective parts and adjusts functional parts by dismantling and assembling devices.
Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level.
Comply with the quality assurance regulations, SQF, and food safety.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with the procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
Dress appropriately and wear all required personal protective equipment assigned (PPE).
Use lockout/tag out devices and procedures as required.
Compliance with the quality system, food safety, and SQF procedures.
