Maintenance/Custodial/Electrician Building Maintenance: Electrician position provides electrical and HVAC services to all school department buildings, specifically identifying repair and/or replacement needs and installing and/or upgrading electrical systems. Responsible for adding breakers to panels, adding dedicated lines to fixtures, troubleshooting school auditorium lighting, sound boards, bells, intercoms, school security systems (cameras, buzzers, etc.), and school building generators, etc. Responsible for the installation of power circuits for Air Conditioning units as directed Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the School Committee sound system Responsible for maintaining and adjusting all building maintenance systems as needed Responsible for meeting with contractors for upcoming projects, pricing, or review of issues related to equipment and fixtures. Participates in meetings, workshops, trainings and seminars to convey and/or gather information required to perform job functions. Maintains and transports tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure the availability of materials required at a job site. Requests equipment and supplies to maintain inventory and ensure the availability of items required to complete the necessary installation and/or repair. • Responds to emergencies during and after hours to resolve immediate electrical concerns. The role of KES Technician is to perform full installations of our Demand Control Kitchen Ventilation system (DCKV) in commercial kitchens. DCKV is the process of measuring the level of cooking activity in commercial kitchen hoods and modulating the speed of the associated exhaust and supply fans to be used only as needed. By adjusting these units, these commercial kitchens save a tremendous amount of energy in their electrical, heating, and cooling usage. The KES Technician is the company's direct representative and will be responsible for properly executing the installation of these systems ensuring complete system functionality at the end of the project. KES Technicians will work together in teams of two to accomplish these tasks on each jobsite. This work involves, but not limited to, the following scope of work: Installing various sensors directly to the kitchen hoods (drilling into stainless steel). Installing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to modulate the associated exhaust fans along with the proper power wiring (120V/1), (208V/3), (460V/3) as needed. Job Description Cox Enterprises is hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled duties associated with the repair and maintenance of buildings, furnishings, equipment and grounds. The prospective candidate should demonstrate cursory knowledge and general understanding of one or more key building systems (HVAC, back-up power, general construction, plumbing, electrical and/or fire protection systems and equipment).
