Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Troubleshoot and correct electrical systems on all production lines Design and install electrical conduit, wiring and components for process equipment Perform scheduled preventative electrical maintenance tasks on production lines Assist in tracking, organizing, and maintaining electrical/automation spare parts inventory Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Maintenance Mechanic-Electrical Pay Rate: $37.60/hr. up to $41.20/hr. Sign-on Bonus: $500 after 90 days $500 after 6 months Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time Monday - Friday 2 nd Shift (3pm-11pm) and 3 rd Shift (11pm-7am) Physical Location: St. Louis Container Facility 1201 North Highway Drive Fenton, Missouri 63026 The Job You Will Perform: Following all safety rules and practices Performing preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating, measuring wear, measuring positions, repositioning components; and observing operations, vibrations, and noise levels Performing emergency/break down maintenance as necessary to support plant operations Accurately using measurement and test equipment Performing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, steam system, and other repairs and installations as needed Maintain clean and organized work area, and cleaning up work area as part of completing assigned tasks Accurately and completely preparing and maintaining maintenance records and other paperwork Troubleshooting and solving problems Maintaining teamwork with other associates; and Performing other duties as assigned by supervision The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring: Requires strong electrical and mechanical skills and aptitude Strong troubleshooting skills Written and verbal communications skills Preferred skills in pneumatics, electrical, PLC and hydraulics High School Diploma or GED required Post High School training preferred Ability to accurately use and read a variety of measuring devices Well-rounded electrical, mechanical, and machine shop skills and experience Ability to learn; and the ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team Corrugated Industry Maintenance experience preferred; and Must be willing to work OT including Saturdays and Sundays as needed.
