The Electrical Technician II will build, rework, test, repair, and install wiring harnesses on vehicles and
the bench. The role will follow instructions from blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), schematics, and
piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). The role will follow procedures to set up and run quality
checks on various wiring harnesses. The Electrical Technician II will perform independent project tasks
and collaborate with customers and team members.
Responsibilities include:
* Follow provided work instructions (prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses)
* Assembly of wiring harnesses using hand tools and proper assembly techniques
* Work in small teams to complete daily build requirements
* Maintain clean and organized work space

The Maintenance Technician provides oversight of all HVAC equipment through preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance cycles to reduce equipment failures and improve staff and resident comfort during the heating and cooling seasons and performs other day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the community to ensure that it is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
Essential Activities and Tasks
Operations Management - 80%
Performs routine HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and finishing, and maintenance on facilities, equipment, grounds, parking areas, sidewalks, etc.
Services HVAC equipment through preventative maintenance schedules and maintenance cycles.
Troubleshoots, provides maintenance, and repairs the technical components of the community including HVAC, pumps, motors, etc.
Troubleshoots, provides maintenance, and repairs electrical systems per NEC guidelines.
Troubleshoots, provides maintenance, and repairs plumbing systems per local codes.
Informs supervisor of supply and/or equipment needs.
Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks.
Completes assigned work orders within 24-48 hours.
Maintains a state of readiness for survey by regulatory bodies.
Ensures a clean and safe environment for the residents, staff members, and visitors in all areas of the community by escorting vendors, assisting with inventory, conducting training, and serving as a working team leader as needed.
May coordinate maintenance services and activities with other departments (i.e. Nursing, Culinary and Nutritional Services, etc.).
Serves as back-up to security personnel and responds accordingly performing necessary rounds and completing reports as needed.
Quality, Compliance, and Risk Management - 15%
Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, supplies, etc. are in proper working order and are stored appropriately.
Ensures that established quality assurance, infection control, and universal precaution practices are maintained when performing maintenance procedures.
Performs duties in accordance with all safety and OSHA requirements and ensures departmental staff does the same.
Maintains current and accurate records through use of computers and/or other documentation in accordance with company standards and federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Works with others on the development, implementation, and maintenance of emergency disaster programs (i.e. fire, severe weather, etc.).
Willingly and consistently shares observations and insights of departmental operations that may improve quality and efficiencies of department.
Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled or as directed.
Customer Relations and Service Delivery - 5%
Listens and responds to the needs of residents and staff members.
Honors resident personal and property rights when performing maintenance duties.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Current certification to handle refrigerants a plus but not required.
Current HVAC certification a plus but not required.
Current Boiler Operator License and Steam Engineer License a plus but not required.
Experience
Three years experience in a maintenance position required.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, boilers, compressors and generators, and various mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Knowledge of building codes, safety, EPA, and OSHA regulations preferred.
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints preferred.
Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet preferred.
Other Requirements
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Purpose and Scope:
Technicians are system experts that provide advanced and specialized knowledge, skills, and consultation that ensure successful installation and restoration of key operating equipment for the multibillion dollar steel business. This role is directly responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing equipment, with varying complexity, operates according to design standards that enable manufacturing specifications, which have a direct impact to the product characteristics, to be achieved. Technicians are the next (higher) level of reliability support once the skills of maintainers have been exhausted. This position will be required to work on call and/or overtime as per business needs.
Responsibilities:
* Design, analyze, and engineer solutions with other technicians, engineers, and other groups.
* Responsible for analyzing, decoding, and making small PLC program modifications which would include schematic reading and drawing.
* Investigate, diagnose, test, calibrate, install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on electronic and electromechanical equipment and systems throughout the plant, to ensure optimal asset utilization.
* Provide advanced or specialized knowledge, skills and tools to restore equipment operation and process integrity.
* Provide support to maintainers, operators and engineers to correct malfunctions, enhance performance and promote continuous improvement.
* Responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing equipment, the complexity of which varies significantly from manual to state of the art/highly automated, operates according to the specified design standards. Optimal operation is critical to the products quality and manufacturing characteristics.
* Coordinate and plan for the repair of all electronic equipment removed from the field due to malfunctions or defects. This includes tracking status of repairs, assessing the quality of the repairs, and maintaining stock of spare parts.
* Responsible for continuous learning and development of work skills and technical through attendance of training classes with vendors, online, and on the job training.
* Responsible for the successful installation, testing and commissioning of new capital equipment.
* Liaison and interface with suppliers, vendors, contractors, OEMs, and other parties to properly select and repair equipment and quickly rectify problems.
* Effectively perform and complete all assigned project work efficiently, on time and safely within a fast-paced work environment.
Technical/Functional Skills:
* Basic knowledge of AC/DC circuit analysis and AC/DC drives
* Basic knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
* Working knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, sensors, test equipment, PLCs (hardware and software programming)
Minimum Requirements:
* High school diploma with at least 5 years of an industrial/electrical apprenticeship or industrial/electrical experience (in manufacturing preferred).
Preferred Requirements:
* Associate's degree in electrical technology or related with 2 years of industrial/electrical experience (in manufacturing preferred).

As an Electrical Controls Technician, you would be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and maintaining Cedar Point's controls systems. Working as a team, the systems are maintained to a high standard. This is done utilizing digital multi-meters, PLC ladder logic, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, and other types of diagnostic software and tools. Must have a working knowledge of Allen Bradley controls to include DC and AC drives and a multitude of PLCs from the tried-and-true PLC5 to the latest and greatest ControlLogix. The brands of drives and PLCs are not limited to Allen Bradley.
Responsibilities:
Install and repair electrical systems.
Calibrate equipment, design, inspect, and troubleshoot wiring, panels, glitches, and other malfunctions.
Diagnose and repair DC drive controllers and DC motors.
Must know how to use amp probe, digital volt meter, oscilloscope and other test equipment.
Diagnose PLC (SLC500, PLC5, NUMA LOGIC, ControlLogix 5000, CompactLogix) and relay logic electrical problems.
Working knowledge of Allen Bradley, Icom software programs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems desirable.
Familiar with AutoCad and capable of drawing schematics.
Standard control system wiring practices and control sensing devices such as proximity sensors, photo eyes, etc.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:
