Under the general direction of the Director of Engineering and Maintenance (Director), the Ferry Maintenance Manager will provide leadership and direction to the Ferry Maintenance Team, support vessel operations and District objectives. Any deficiency that could possibly bedeemed a "no sail" item by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) shall be closely managed with all involved parties updated as required to have the least impact on operations. On-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week as required to support operations, frequently required to be onsite two weekend days per month. Electricity at the substation is transformed from 60 kilovolts (kV) down to 12kV, which can then be distributed as high voltage electric power to campus.
