Full-time Description Under general supervision, perform journey-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses, equipment and systems; act as lead worker to other classified staff in the area; and perform related work as required. Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Department: Facilities Under the general supervision of the Manager of Facilities, the Industrial Maintenance Technician performs skilled maintenance, repair, and inspection work to ensure that the Authority facilities, grounds, and related equipment are safe, functional, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. This role supports daily transit operations by maintaining buildings, bus terminals, park-and-ride lots, and other Authority properties. The position works cooperatively with SMART management, employees, and contractors to ensure the quality and timeliness of facility maintenance efforts are acceptable to federal, state, and Authority standards. Duties and Responsibilities Assists in overseeing contractors used in minor construction projects such as; curb cuts, lead walks, door/gate repairs, electrical repairs and wiring, pump and motor replacement, roof repairs, plumbing, etc. Coordinates with Parts Department and/or Facilities Project Manager to care, store, and account for inventories used in activities. Recommends to supervisors to stock or re-stock needed materials, supplies, and equipment. Completes and maintains work orders, journals, reports, and other records as necessary to document, track, and otherwise control and assess the repair, maintenance, or replacement of all facilities and appurtenances.
