Summary: The Maintenance Technician can perform a wide variety of work to ensure that the facilities and equipment are maintained in a safe and effective working condition. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing work in all operational and Facilities areas, depending upon the immediate needs of the department. While Maintenance Technicians may have developed skills in one or more areas, all are expected to be able to perform general maintenance and repair in all areas of assignment, which may include equipment, motor and conveyor repair and maintenance as well as building maintenance including lighting, electrical and plumbing in any of the distribution centers. Responsibilities Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals, schematics and blueprints. Ability to use electrical diagnostic equipment (to include digital and analog meters, and amp meters for AC/DC testing). Ability to work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co-workers and managers in a collaborative and constructive manner. Works with Supervisor to mentor/develop team and Tech's in training. Work with Vendors aligned to facilities. Ability to multi-task. Ability to change load wheels on power equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and repair low and high voltage controls including fuses, relays, wiring. Maintains building, equipment, shop and storage areas in a clean and orderly condition. Completes work orders for work performed and includes parts and inventory used. Document all work order activities to comply with MP2 requirements, providing documented records of the activities performed. Follow lockout-tag out procedures, confined space procedures, and other safety and environmental procedures and policies as required. Experience working in maintenance in a distribution center setting. Building conveyor maintenance experience required. Qualifications Qualifications & Experience Possession of a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. Prior maintenance experience with forklifts, conveyors, controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and building maintenance. Electrical experience with high and low voltage, AC and DC. Ability to lift 70 lbs Technical school or training desired. Computer skills navigating email/Microsoft Suite Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings. Proven track record of strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Welding skill preferred, but not required. Multiple shifts and locations available. Key Responsibilities: Preventative Maintenance & Equipment Care Perform routine maintenance on facility systems including forklifts, aerial lifts, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and mist collectors Replace filters, belts, and other components on facility and production equipment Complete daily checks for chiller units, air compressors, and cooling systems Facility & Waste Management Maintain clean and safe waste collection and recycling areas Load and manage scrap, recyclable materials, and facility waste Support snow removal, roof repair, light fixture changes, and minor plumbing Operations & Troubleshooting Identify and report equipment issues to supervisors Maintain accurate records through our electronic work order system Assist with rigging heavy equipment and support subcontractors during facility-related projects Safety & Training Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space, and hot work permit protocols Ensure compliance with environmental and company standards Participate in ongoing training and assist in training others as assigned Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required; vocational or technical training preferred Experience: 1+ year of hands-on experience in a mechanical, electrical, or maintenance setting preferred Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and during off-hours or emergencies Ability to read measurements, perform calculations, and keep accurate records Forklift and aerial lift operation (certifications a plus) Basic computer skills for entering maintenance logs and tracking work orders Why Join Us?
